With Spring in full swing, it seems inevitable that we will all be spring cleaning and we all have our own tips and tricks of how we tackle our home. - Get everyone to muck in! Sure, they will moan about it but getting everyone to play their part means the work inevitably gets done quicker. Whilst I don’t expect Jack to do much around the house, I do expect him to throw rubbish in the bin, put his dirty clothes in his laundry basket and tidy his room. He doesn’t always want to do it but he always likes it when he has and his room is much tidier!
- Keep an eye out for pests. As spring arrives, so do lots of creepy crawlies that you don’t want in your home. Keep your eyes peeled and quickly target areas where they may be coming from.
- Utilise that vinegar. Vinegar is so useful for cleaning. From cleaning your windows to other things, put that vinegar to good use.
- Deep clean the toilet. If everyone is taking the time to clean it regularly, this shouldn’t be too hard a job but it is always good to give it a really good scrub and have it sparkling – after all, friends and families will judge you on the cleanliness of your toilet!
- Declutter. I tell people to do this throughout the year but spring cleaning time is definitely time to declutter. Get rid of the stuff you don’t want, clean the areas where they have been and feel more positive and happier with your home.
