Struggling with ideas on what to buy the kids in your life? I know I struggle with Olivia and Jack as both their birthdays are so close to Christmas. Here’s some gift options for you…
Cuddly Readers (£24.99) – Thinking Gifts *
If your kids are bookworms like mine, then they’ll love a Cuddly Reader. Not only will they hug your book and keep it safe so you can read but they are so cosy and comfy too! Read more on what we think about them here.
Robo Wunderkind (£119/£139/£189 dependent on which set)
These are fun coding blocks for kids of all ages and are compatible with other toys such as LEGO. This means that they have longevity and kids definitely won’t quickly get bored of them. With over 200 schools using it, you know it has to be great. You can purchase it here {affiliate link}.
Timberland Classic Backpack in black (£45) – Mainline Menswear *
This is a lovely gift for an older child, perhaps a teen. As they become more fashion conscious, they will want something that suits their taste and this backpack is super cool and very affordable too! It is decent in size so perfect for school and transporting their everyday items around. You can buy it here.
Rolling Down The Road CD by David Gibb (£10) – davidgibb.com *
Do your kids love music? I know mine do! This new CD from David Gibb is perfect for kids, for families too and has fifteen different songs for you all to enjoy. The cover design is absolutely beautiful and totally colourful. The songs are all fantastic and very catchy and my kids love them!
Megson Little Bird Children’s folk songs CD (£10) – Megson Music *
If you are looking for a collection of children’s folk songs, then look no further than the brand new CD ‘Little Bird’ from Megson. With twelve beautiful songs and a beautifully designed cover, this will make such a lovely stocking filler this year!
Sandsational Castle Kingdom (£25) – Addo Play *
I’ve spoken about this in more detail here but this Sandsational set is perfect for kids age 3 and over. This would make a wonderful joint present if you have more than one child as they will love working together to build the castle using the moulds and different colours of sand. There’s plenty more Sandsational products in the range too – why not pick them up a couple?
Hatching Dragon Toothless (£59.99) – The Entertainer *
Perhaps my favourite item from the whole gift guide. This Hatching Dragon is absolutely fantastic and great for fans of the How to Train Your Dragon films. You have to encourage your dragon to hatch and when he does, he’s so cute! I can see this being on many Christmas lists this year. Read my full review here.
Do you ever find it hard to explain to family and friends what your kids are wishing for this Christmas? Step forward KinderList. It is a new online platform that takes the stress out of gift shopping for children has launched, providing parents with an easy-to-share tool for Christmas and birthday gifting. It is very similar to a wedding registry.
Gifts can be added to individual child lists from anywhere online and shared with friends and relatives ahead of occasions like Christmas and birthdays. You can also curate gifts under key categories including eco-friendly, personalised, experience gifts and books –plus a portion of profits from sales will be given to children’s charities too! Consider giving this a try this year.
Here are my ideas for children this year – are you planning on buying any presents for any children this year?

Oh I LOVE those cuddly readers, they are so sweet! I love the look of the hatching dragon too. Lovely round up of items.
What some awesome ideas for kids! The Hatching Dragon sounds awesome, sometimes I really wish I was a kid again and could just play!
These are great gift ideas for little ones. We have David Gibbs CD as well and totally love that. I plan to get the Robo Wunderkind for my son as he has been asking for this for a while now.
I love the cuddly readers but I know my son would really enjoy the Robo Wunderkind.
Some great ideas here! i know that my daughter would love the Sand Sational Kit, she loves anything to do with making sandcastles
Oh wow some fab ideas here. Like the plush cuddly reader and also the practical backpack xx
I honestly have no idea what to get one of our kids. He’s 14 and so difficult to buy for but you’ve given me some tips! That Timberland backpack is actually really cool. That and some money and he’s sorted! x
The cuddly readers look fantastic, perfect for the children’s tablets and books
Brilliant selection of gifts for children this Christmas. My eldest is a bookworm and would love the Cuddly Readers.
Great suggestions here! I think my son would love the dragon egg and my little girl would be all about the sand castle kingdom! I definitely think it gets harder to buy for them as kids get older though!
What a lovely bunch of gifts. I love the look of the cuddle reader – Alessia is a complete book worm and loves her teddies so this would be perfect for her 🙂
These are such lovely ideas, my nephew has too many toys but not enough books so we going to focus on books this year.
