I’ve had a few new readers recently so I thought it was time for a chatty personal post. I love things like this so thought I’d share 5 things that you may not know about me…
1. I am really interested in true crime.
I read books about it, I watch TV series on Netflix about it, I’m even in a couple of groups on Facebook dedicated to true crime. I’m not sure what sparked my interest but it has been around for many years now and doesn’t seem to be going anywhere soon.
2. Jack and Olivia weren’t the names I originally had picked for my kids.
I always had names picked out for my kids from a young age. A boy would be Oliver or Kieran and a girl would be Elizabeth or Millie. Jack ended up with none of the names I had picked but one of Olivia’s middle names is Elizabeth and Amelia, which would have been shortened to Millie, was in the top three names for her.
3. I always thought I came from a large family – until I met Steve’s!
Growing up, I was always told I had a big family. Most of my friends had one or two siblings and about three cousins. I have four half siblings, three nephews, two nieces and twelve first cousins, many more second cousins who I was very close to when I was younger. Steve has four siblings also but has many more cousins and second cousins, again many who is close to. Jack can’t even keep up with who is in his family, haha!
4. I still love kids books.
I love reading kids books with my two but I also still quite like the Point Horror books and would happily reread. Murder Most Unladylike is a series that I really enjoy but is actually written for a younger audience!
5. I’ve constantly got something on my list to rewatch
I mentioned in a recent post that we have been rewatching Grimm and The Big Bang Theory. I am hoping to rewatch Torchwood soon and am quite tempted to rewatch Gavin and Stacey in preparation for the Christmas special, even though I only rewatched it with Steve (who was watching it for the first time) at the beginning of the year. I love rewatching old series – whilst there are some newer shows that I really enjoy, nothing beats watching an old favourite.
So these are five things about me – what five things might I not know about you?

I think Jack and Olivia are wonderful names. Your kids are so adorable! I too still love kids books!
I love true crime too and yes to the children’s books, is it wrong I am thinking about re-reading mallory towers? I’d love to come from a big family like that, the christmas must be mad for you!
It is always amazing to get to learn new things about friends.
I never thought I had a big family, especially with being an only child but I do have quite a few cousins so to Ash he says it seems big as he doesn’t really know anyone outside of his immediate family.
Wow, I think both of your families are big. I have one brother and each of my parents have one sibling each, and on one side there are no cousins at all x
I love posts like this as its always so nice to find out a little more about the blogger behind a blog! I too am fascinated by true crime and not so much books but I still love watching all the old Disney classics kids movies with the kids too lol!
Was lovely reading this! I think both of your families are huge ha! Can definitely agree with you on the point horror books – I found some in the charity shop last week for 10p , was like a kid at Xmas! 🙂
I don’t have time to watch anything, let alone re-watch something! I have so many half-finished series ….
Jack and Olivia are so cute, and their names are perfect! Kids books are great, I like to re-read fairytales and Enid Blyton books occasionally for the nostalgia! I’ve been re-watching Gavin and Stacey ready for the Christmas special, I’m so excited!
I love watching old Big Bang Theory episodes. We’re just starting on Gavin and Stacey ahead of the Christmas special
I’m a huge fan of true crime as well, I love nothing more than watching all the true crime documentaries on Netflix
I like posts where you learn more about the blogger. About me sections are great but posts like this give you a chance to get the know the blogger much better.
I could do with watching the Gavin and Stacey series again before the Christmas special. I don’t think I’ve watched all of them, just episodes here and there
