The Perfect House

I have spoken numerous times about how Steve and I are looking to move into a bigger home. Whilst the house we are in suits our needs at the moment, we are going to need something bigger when we eventually expand our family to include another child. Whilst our bedroom is big enough to fit a cot in for a couple of months, we would ideally be moved in and settled into another house before another baby even came along – perhaps even before we start trying again!

Our house at the moment isn’t perfect but it is alright for us. We rent privately and our main gripes are actually with items we have bought ourselves, namely our sofa and our bed – these both suffered breakages about a month after our guarantee ended – typical, eh? This means we are looking for cheap alternatives to take their place for when we move elsewhere. (If we could get away with it, we’d ideally like to steal the look of our static caravan as shown in the pictures!)

Of course, this means potentially having to change the look of our rooms. Steve is forever changing stuff around as it is so the arrival of a new piece of furniture in a new house may mean some more new items making their way into our house too. At the moment, our sofa is cream (yes, with a toddler around – we didn’t think!) and everything else is dark in colour. 

We currently have a fake wood burning stove in our house (although we rented the property unfurnished, this was randomly left behind by the previous owner) and Steve has always said he would like the real thing when we move elsewhere – perhaps one of these Broseley Stoves. Steve also loves the idea of a drinks cabinet – his parents have one and it took all my strength to pull him away from one going cheap in our local charity shop the other day! Of course, I would like plenty of bookcases – but we may have to compromise and move those into the home office if needs be – I want to look at all my books!
