#ImProving2014

When I was contacted about joining in with #ImProving2014 campaign, I knew it was something for me. I always make new resolutions then break them within a couple of weeks. This campaign aims to help people improve the things they want to throughout 2014 plus they are then proving to themselves they can do it – get it? ImProving! You can read more about the campaign in collaboration with Debt Free Direct here.
I’ve been a bit paranoid about posting these pictures on the blog for all and sundry to see. I have really slacked on the exercise front since having Jack – and especially more so since I started working from home. Since I am now at home all day, you would think it would be easy to schedule in a few minutes of exercise and muscle building to try and get back to a size I am comfortable with. Apparently not – I always seem to be working to deadlines and taking no time out.
I realised recently that I hadn’t given myself any me time for quite a while – meaning that I would continue feeling crap about myself because I wasn’t actually doing anything about it! To aid me in my #ImProving2014 challenge, I was sent some exercise clothes and some dumbbells. I’ve been using them on and off for a couple of weeks alongside walking and some light exercise and whilst I haven’t noticed much of a difference in weight or muscles yet, I do feel better about myself knowing I am at least doing something about it. It still makes me feel a little odd knowing pictures I despise are up here for you all to see but its giving me the kick up the bum that I so rightly need.
I will be continuing to post about my #ImProving challenge throughout the year, updating you on my progress. Wish me luck!
