I have been so bad at remembering to take pictures this week! We visited my Dad in hospital after his operation, he seemed cheerful and should be out within the next few days! I’ve been lazing around in Steve’s shirts, reading and starting a brand new skincare routine in the evenings. Loving it so far! I’ve been getting loads of smiles (but also loads of tantrums) from Jack this week, he definitely has developed his only little cheeky charm! This week, he learnt how to wave! He even waved at Justin Fletcher on the TV yesterday morning!
I’m planning a mini blogger meetup in the week with Emily from Emma’s Channel– Steve is looking after Jack so we can get up to some blogging fun! Maybe a video will happen too! We shall have to see. Also, Rome is this month! Eeek, so excited and also so happy that you get to meet some fantastic people through the guest posts I’ve got lined up for you all!
This week on the blog, there were my regular features: [1] [2] [3]. I also posted a review of some lovely drinks I tried, updated you on my reading challenge and showed you my August Empties.
What have you been up to this past week?

As I’m sure the majority of you know, especially if you follow me on Twitter (where I wouldn’t shut up about it), I went to the Olympic Games in London on Wednesday. I was lucky enough to win tickets with Coca-Cola and the day went off without a hitch apart from one thing; sorting the spending money. Of course, we wanted to buy some mementos from the Games and were unable to do so without the money and as no one seemed to know what was going on, a Coca Cola rep took it upon herself to help us out with mementos. I cannot describe how helpful she was and although the situation still isn’t completely sorted, I feel everyone should know how much Maxine from the Beatbox on the Olympic Park is a credit to the company. Lovely lady.

I had to take pictures from Steve & Laura as I inadvertently decided to give my camera an impromptu bath on the train into London. Luckily, they saved me the day and provided me with plenty of pictures to show you. I went to see the women’s water polo (Hungary v China and Italy v Russia) and although I didn’t fully understand the game, I had a fantastic time.

On the blog this week, I persuaded some of you to linkup with my Like, Love, Loathe linkup, I showed you the products I’d finished up in the month of July and reviewed some Purity Organic Skincare treats for you. Regular features appeared such as A Picture Tells A Thousand Words with Tanya appearing and also Friday Letters

I showed you some gorgeous Charms & Chains jewellery which you went wild over, updated you on Jack’s progress after eight months and launched my 500 follower giveaway!

For the week ahead, look out for the Like, Love, Loathe linkup, all regular features, a Revlon primer review, some gorgeous treats from Cyber Candy and whether multivitamins actually work for me.

What have you been up to this past week?

  1. Wow lovely pics! Hope you enjoyed it. Weirdest thing, I was selling programmes LITERALLY right next to where you took that last picture in the first set from (on the bbc bridge, next to the Gloriana) I was probably about a metre (if that!) behind you! Ha ha!
Looks like a fab day xxx

  2. I bet it was so good getting it see something at the Olympics.

  3. Wow sounds like you have been really busy. Another winning by Becky lol. You should enter a competition – winners of the winners lol. The winner is the winner who can win the most, and they will then win the competition for the winners :)) ..O.o if that made any sense.

Glad you're having fun. Take care! xxx

(P.S. Something that occurred to me is that by putting loads of pictures up online on your blog, anybody can just use them. So it might be an idea to think about putting a watermark on them 'Futures' or your copyright. It will take quite a while but it will definitely be worth it.

If anyone can use your pictures it doesn't look as professional, not that it is a criticism but it might help other people become interested in Futures if you see what I mean 😉 Also be careful if you take pictures of Jack, I would definitely suggest putting a watermark on those. Keep on blogging!)

  4. I got over excited when I went to an olympic event in my hometown this week, I can't imagine what I would have been like if I actually got to the olympic village. Looks fabulous from your images.

    1. It definitely will be one of those days xo

1. Funkin’ Mixers – strawberry Woowoo’s that tasted amazing!// 2. Drinking them a bit too fast, maybe?// 3 & 4. Obligatory poses with fake glasses// 5. Jack posing with his Auntie Laura

I have got so bad at taking pictures for this post every week – I either have tons of them or not many at all! I promise to do better. Honest.

This week has been hectic – I’ve been sorting out going back to work, attending blog events, getting a little tipsy as you can probably see…

I haven’t got much planned for this week which is a blessing in disguise really. After the madness of the past week, and the amount of housework I did yesterday morning, I think this week calls for some downtime and that I deserve to kick up my feet and relax with a good book. I’m planning to read 3 or 4 this week, including the two other books in the Fifty Shades series. What books are you reading right now? Add me on GoodReads here – I love being nosy and seeing what others are reading!

What have you all got planned for the week ahead? Anything exciting?

xo

  1. daisychain says:

    those cocktails look fab!

  2. Never had a woo woo even though I'm a big cocktail drinker – that needs to change! I'm still reading the Twenties Girl by Sophia Kinsella and have an Agatha Christie lined up for afterwards. Same old week for me although I think we're seeing the new Spiderman movie on Wednesday.

It has been a bit of a weird week, this one. I’ve read loads, spent time with various friends and bought some beautiful new shoes on Ebay! I’ve been really enjoying spending time with Jack as he approaches 6 months old, he is really starting to develop a little personality and I love that he can just giggle for absolutely no reason at all!
I’m looking forward to the week ahead as my parents are back from holiday, I’m meeting up with an old friend for the first time in FIVE years (check out her blog here) and making more arrangements with the lovely Louise and Lisa for TOWIB in a couple of weeks time – I am so excited!
What have you all got planned for the week?

7. Gorgeous chocolate cake made by Duncan// 8. T-Zone mask, sent by Zoe to review// 9. Two very random  books came through the post – right address but no name on them..think they may have come from a GoodReads giveaway but unsure
This week, I have joined a book club (search #kindlebookclub on Twitter for more information), seen some family and generally had a good week. I received some lovely penpal letters from Tiffeny & Rachael, sent off some World Book Night books to some lovely bloggers, sold loads on Ebay and seen a few friends too!

I really didn’t need another two books to add to my to-read pile, but I am definitely not going to complain. Hopefully, they will help me towards my book challenge. Nine books down, 116 to go – think I may struggle to make it, to be honest, but I’ll definitely give it my best shot!

What have you been up to this week?
