Take Perfect Content Photos With The Instagram Bag from Paper Bag Co | Review

I was sent this for the purpose of review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Some of you may know that I also have a food blog. I’ve been slow to get content off the ground for it but I am planning plenty of content, ready to publish soon.

Now if you take photos of your food, you will know just as well as I do that getting that perfect photo can be super difficult. Step forward the Instagram Bag from Paper Bag Co.

This kit retails at £39.95, inclusive of all VAT and P&P and with same day dispatch too. It is an interesting kit that would make quite a unique and interesting gift for a photographer or budding content creator.

The whole set up comes in this fab bag – a limited edition double sided bespoke bag with an internal zip pocket. Also, check out the personalised bags Singapore!

Inside you will find a 15-inch photographic reflector and diffuser, four beautifully crafted photographic backdrops from Black Velvet Styling and a picture postcard set with some handy tips from phone photographer Matt Inwood. There is also a mesh divider.

I have been playing around with this kit for a few weeks now, trying to get different shots and seeing what works best for me. This is my first real time using anything like this so it has been a real learning curve as I start to see just how much better my photography for all of my content can become.

See below – the burgers using a backdrop behind them from the kit and the pork using the marble back drop underneath:

It has been interesting to see just how much better – and how different – a dish can look when you style it in a certain way! Styling my food has always been where I struggle – I am all about eating food and presentation was never a big thing for me – until I started a food blog!

I have also found the photographic backdrops perfect for other non foodie content such as this image of a locket I recently reviewed:

As you can see, it makes the perfect backdrop and really brings a focus on the item. I’m really happy with the backdrops! There are four different designs and whilst I have a particular favourite, they are all great.

Overall, I am very impressed with this and whilst I won’t use it all the time, it is going to be really handy for my food photos and even my non foodie photos too!

Would you use a kit like this for your content photography?

  1. I have heard of these before and they do sound great, reading your post you can really see how they work

  2. Wow, this is amazing and so helpful. I’m surprised I’ve not come across more brands having kits like this. I’d definitely use something like this.

I do use backdrops, although I think I need to get some more as I tend to use the same few every time. I have two LED lights that I use for photos, but a reflector would be really good to have too x

  4. Oh I’ve not come across this before and I’ll admit I don’t own any backdrops , I use random things in the house lol

  5. I am actually impressed with the Instagram bag, I am actually bad at taking foodie pictures and always ask my sister to do it instead.

  6. I haven’t heard of these before but going to check them out now. Anything that helps with my photography is a win!

  7. I love the effect of those backdrops! I’m really not great when it comes to photography but the backdrops really do seem to help.
