Star Name Registry | Review & Giveaway

We were sent this item for the purpose of review. All thoughts and opinions are our own.

We were recently contacted by the team over at the Star-Name-Registry UK office who wanted to see if we would like to review our very own star package. Well, with a space obsessed son and fiancé, I couldn’t say no and I was sent the Extra Bright Gift set worth £44.99.

The Extra Bright gift set gives you the opportunity to choose your own Extra Bright Star name, constellation, memorable date and personal message. The full Gift Set includes: entry into the registry. an A4 Star name deed,  the Sky Atlas star maps, a confirmation letter, an A4 silver certificate frame. This is all surrounded by light blue tissue paper in a large silver presentation box and the Extra Bright Star gift is explained through some leaflets. The gift set is presented beautifully – as mentioned, it comes in a lovely large silver presentation box with blue tissue paper. Being able to choose my own name, special date, message and constellation, I had to choose it for Jack. naming it after him and using his birth date as the special date. Choosing the constellation was incredibly difficult due to the vast amount of choice but I eventually opted for Microscopium as Jack is very scientifically minded.

According to the Star-Name-Registry, the Extra Bright package will mean your star has increased visibility in the UK and Europe and the company provide plenty of information on how to view your star – a link you use to go online. We’ve already given this a go and Jack loved it!

As you can see Jack is very pleased with his gift. He loves being able to look at his star and know it is named after him. I feel that sentimental gifts mean so much more; to both adults and children. Sure, Jack loves his toys and books and other gifts like that but for a boy so obsessed with the stars and space, this is probably his most favourite gift of all time, one that he can cherish forever.

We are already considering getting Olivia one in the future so they’ve got extra special keepsakes to hold onto until they’re grey and old. I must say I am very impressed with their delivery times – they offer 1st Class (1-3 Working Days) delivery as standard with all of their orders but customers can also opt for Next Day Delivery at an extra cost. Any order outside of the UK but inside of Europe is between 2-5 working days and the rest of the world 3-10 days. Email delivery is within 0-8 hours. How impressive is that?

If you like what you’ve read so far and are thinking ‘wow, what a perfect gift?’, how would you like to win?
