Just before Olivia made her (early) arrival into the world, we were sent a Joolz Essentials blanket by a lovely PR that we’ve worked with often. Now that I’ve finally adjusted to life with this little monkey in it, I wanted to tell you all about it and what we think of it.

From the popular Nursery Essentials range by Joolz, this blanket is 100% organic cotton – something I try to look for when opting to buy or choose stuff for my babies. Retailing at £50, the blanket is said absorb moisture and retain heat.

The blanket arrived in this fabulous box and was packed well. Even before opening, I loved the honeycomb pattern and the colour (there are five to choose from: pink, mint, off white, blue and anthracite). Upon taking it out of the packaging, I noticed how thick it was without being overly thick if that makes sense and so super soft.

With the weather having been as random as it has the past few weeks, I’ve been wanting to ensure Olivia is completely covered up when we go out as it can get so bitterly cold. I of course wrap her up warm in her clothing, coat, hat and mitts but every baby needs a blanket when going out and this has been our blanket of choice. It keeps her snug as a bug whilst we are out and about and I know she is so warm and super comfy in it as she often falls asleep with it wrapped round her.

We haven’t used it much inside, opting for a lighter blanket at nap time and bed time but we have used it a couple of times when her sleep time blanket has had to go into the wash for the usual baby related things and she has slept so well with it. Joolz say it is great for naps and sleeping through the night and Olivia’s experience with the blanket is testament to that.

I’m definitely going to be checking out the rest of the Joolz Nursery Essentials range after our experience with this blanket – it is not only good quality but Olivia absolutely loves it and that’s all you can ask for really when it comes to babies. They can be fussy little things and really like or really dislike something and Olivia loves her Joolz blanket so I do too.

Have you ever bought anything from the Joolz range?
