The lovely Amy from Flaws and All recently posted about Project Perfect (find it here). It is designed to help everyone feel a little better about themselves. The idea is that you talk about what you like & dislike about yourself.
I thought it was a fantastic idea, and having seen other bloggers posting up their Project Perfects, I decided to do one too.
1. Post a photo that you like of yourself and say in a couple of sentences why you like it.
Although I have a slight bump on my head in this picture (courtesy of my friend Si lifting me up and causing me to headbutt the ceiling – small ceilings, tall friend), I love this picture because I feel I look quite pretty and it reminds me of a time when I was super confident and let nothing get me down. When I was at school, I wouldn’t say boo to a goose, and it was only when I started working and drinking down my local that I really came into my own and developed some confidence and self worth.
2. State some things that you DON’T like yourself but say why others may love to be like that.
I dislike my nose because I feel it’s too long and a bit bumpy – but I have friends who like my nose.
I feel my chin is too long and pointy, but a friend of mine told me on Thursday that she’d love to have my chin as her one has no shape to it at all.
I dislike my legs – they’re too short. Some tall people may like the length of my legs though.
3. State 3 things that you DO like about yourself
I love my eyes – sure, my eyesight is appalling – but I love the colour, and I think glasses suit my face.
I love my boobs and bum – it never used to be this way, but as I’ve grown into an adult woman, I finally have a shape rather than being straight up and down. Mind you, having Jack may have contributed to giving me a bit more shape 😉
I like my lips because they’re not too thin & not too fat 🙂
Thanks to Amy for such a wonderful idea. If any of you post your own Project Perfects, I’d love to read them!
xo
