Week 31 of my pregnancy diaries and this week has been fairly uneventful, I must admit. Baby girl is still as active as ever, we’ve decided on a name as a family which I won’t be revealing on the blog just yet. Well, Jack decided on it if I am being perfectly honest but it was one of the names on the shortlist so that is a relief!
I had another midwife appointment yesterday. She let me know that my bloods came back normal – no low iron/anaemia, no worrying blood sugar results. She took my blood pressure as usual and that was fine and checked my urine sample for protein, that also came back fine. I’ve been talking to Jenna and other bloggers recently about the dizzy spells and that – I keep getting checked out for anaemia, low blood pressure and similar – but it always seems to come back fine. Totally bizarre!
I mentioned that my midwife got me booked in for a scan due to me being meant to have one but not actually being scheduled one at 28 weeks. She checked that I had gone and how everything was and she was happy to hear that everything was measuring fine – think it put her mind at rest and she knew she had done the right thing. She checked my tummy and listened to the babies heartbeat. It seems baby is breech again at the moment but she is such an active so and so, that could all change by my next scan or appointment.
I was meant to see the midwife again on the 9th of December but I’m actually at a scan that morning so I can’t – and she agrees that the scan is super important but I will need to get my blood pressure and urine tested there as I can’t visit her – fun! We’ve both got to find some time over the Christmas period to see each other as she has to see me around that time but obviously there is so much going on its difficult to pin down a day where I am actually free and she is actually working. She’s running a clinic on Boxing Day the next town over but Steve’s working so that’s a no go so I need to ring her or give her a call to arrange something else. I love Christmas but wow, it really does bring everything to a standstill, doesn’t it?
I’ve not got much going on now until my next scan on the 9th – I’ll just keep pootling on as always I suppose!

I cant believe how close you are getting and how much there is going on with scans and midwife appointments and so on, I am tired having just read it x
This is a great series! I think this is really good for future expecting mothers to be able to look to this and be able to relate and learn from people with experience such as yourself 🙂
It must be so tough to sort anything at this time of year, but it’s getting cloer now so you must be super excited x
I can’t believe how far along you are already! Seems to have flown by xx
Ahh so close now! Hope your scan goes well, i’m sure it will. And good luck! 🙂
You’re getting so close! I imagine that must be exciting?
It’s funny how some weeks of pregnancy can be really busy and others just slip by. I found I always always at some appointment or other in the final months.
Good that your tests came back clear, maybe you just to relax a little to stop the dizzy spells.
I love reading posts like these but they make me super broody. You are so right though that Christmas brings everything to a standstill. luckily I wasn’t pregnant over the xmas period.
