My Pregnancy Diaries | Week 21 & 22

I’m having to put two weeks in one this time around as I just completely forgot to upload a pregnancy diary last week. Oops. The thing is nothing much has been happening in the way of appointments or scans or stuff. My next midwife appointment is in the first week of October, my next scan is apparently December. So nothing much to report there.

What I do have to report though is the fact that a lot of my friends seem very excited that the baby is a girl. I’ve already had a ton of presents from friends and I’ve also been very lucky recently too with some other friends – a mum at the school gave me a whole massive bag full of girls 0-3 months clothes and wanted absolutely nothing for them – they are in fantastic condition and lots of them are Jojo Maman Bebe and absolutely gorgeous. I also managed to snap up a beautiful Mamas and Papas stroller and a highchair plus toys from my friend for just £50 – she’s barely even used them and they’re lovely!

We already have a cot for baby girl but the next thing we are looking into is perhaps a moses basket. The way this pregnancy seems to be going I will probably be covered in baby girl clothes by the time she arrives – my friends can’t seem to resist all the pretty clothes and I’m surprised that my Mum hasn’t cracked yet. In fact, I am well aware that she probably has a whole bag of girls clothes sitting at home waiting for me that she’s been picking up on her trips to town – that is much more like my mum!

Baby girl is kicking a lot now – she’s very active – and I’ve been really struggling in this heat as my bump is really showing now – it seems to have just gone POP! I’m hoping it cools down soon as I’m exhausted and I’ve got so much I want to get done in the next few weeks – at the very least get Jack’s baby clothes down and go through them!

Lots of my friends have been finding out what they are having these past few days and Jenna is one of them. She’s a few weeks behind me but we’ve been having such similar journeys and both really felt like we were having a girl. We also strongly thought the other was – and we were both right! I’m so happy for her and her family although I’m wanting to buy all the baby clothes because of her! She’s also one of my little bump club buddies who tags each other in baby competitions – there’s me, Jenna, Lyndsay, Katy and now Charlotte too! Its so nice having some girls I’ve known for years to share the journey with! I’ve now got quite an extensive collection of wins ready for baby girl when she arrives – yay!

Hopefully by next week I will have a baby girl bump picture to show you and an updated picture overall for this series, haha! Its just getting someone to take a good enough photo of it as I can’t seem to!
