Ever since I was little I dreamed of being a writer. I would fill up notepad after notepad with my stories, poems, song lyrics and random jottings and it was nice to go back through them when I moved out. I still write quite a bit – I blog of course and I also write freelance articles for clients – but I also still write poetry and have a novel in my drafts, currently sitting at around 15k words. I am always looking to hone my writing skills and have been considering taking up a creative writing course to help me. I have been working towards another course with the NCC but I am keen to try out their creative writing courses as they really seem right up my street.
I know plenty of other mums who are also looking to hone their writing skills and expand their skillset. With many mums choosing to work from home to get the best of both worlds – an income and spending time with their children – writing is something many mothers try their hand at. I know of many parenting bloggers who work from home, both on their blog and other avenues – freelance writing and creative writing seems to crop up quite regularly.
If this sounds like you, then I’ve got some good news for you. NCC Home Learning are running a competition to win a free creative writing course. The course itself is worth over £200! Everyone who enters the competition will be entered into a prize draw and a winner will be selected at random when the competition ends on the 30/11/2016.
