Now I don’t know about you but my children absolutely adore Paw Patrol. Jack has so many Paw Patrol toys – he always asks for them for birthday and Christmas – and is always eager to get the new product in the range. He was very lucky to get the Paw Patroller for Christmas last year and had actually asked for the Fire Truck for this year for him and Olivia to play with so when offered the chance to review this, I was so excited on their behalf!
Now I’m not going to lie. This toy is a bit of a beast! The truck itself is very large – and with an extendable ladder, it is even bigger! Thankfully, there aren’t too many separate pieces – most of it is attached to the truck. The ladder can be taken off and clicks into a specific section to keep it in place but there is a separate water cannon which snaps into place at the back of the truck with a click and there is also the water darts which you pop into both the separate water cannon and the big cannon located under the front of the truck for maximum water soaking – you just press a button and BAM they fly out.
There’s also the separate fire cart which one of the pups can ride around in and which fits in a small compartment at the side of the truck. As expected, the truck also comes with one of the pups – Marshall! As this is such a large vehicle, you’d expect there to be plenty of space for all the pups and there is so children can have fun playing with the whole crew!
The vehicle itself has many attachments – a hose for spraying those dangerous fires and an extendable claw to grab things – perhaps even save things!
The children have had plenty of fun testing out the different features of the fire truck. Everytime they thought they had discovered it all, they found something else! The button on top of the cab enables the flashing lights and sounds – the sounds switch between sirens and a snippet of the Paw Patrol theme. What is also great is that the cab can be snapped down into place flat on the truck or, in the case of danger, can click out and up, ready for the pups to use the extendable ladder to get everyone to safety. The ladder extends to about 2ft and the cab, being attached to it, can simply by move by pulling it upwards! It is quite astonishing to see how much the ladder actually extends to! The ladder can also rotate so that the pups can help at any angle!
The fire truck is great for playing with on its own or using figures and other toys in the range if your kids should so wish – there really is no limit to their imaginative play. Jack and Olivia have had the fire truck out whilst also having the Paw Patroller out with multiple pups and I’ve heard them talking about putting out a fire on the Paw Patroller – all the pups quickly came to the rescue and sprang into action!
With so many different features and how easily it is to incorporate this truck into game play with other Paw Patrol vehicles, this truly is something I can see being a popular main present choice for Christmas this year. It retails at £69.99 (find it on Amazon here {affiliate link}) and is a great option if you’re not sure what to buy the Paw Patrol obsessed child in your life. There are just so many features that your child will never get bored, it comes with batteries included (something every parent is thankful for!) and also the lights and sounds aren’t too over the top unlike some toys.
My kids absolutely adore the truck and have been playing with it non stop since it arrived. I can see them playing with it for many months to come – and I can’t wait to see what stories their imaginations come up with next!

This looks like lots of fun and I think I may get it for my little boy for Christmas – it is something that all 3 of my children can play with together. It is amazing to watch their little imaginations grow with these toys.
