We did a lot of travelling in 2019 and are hoping to continue that in 2020. You can read all about our travels round the UK here, all about our summer holiday in Cyprus plus our trip to Boston just after Christmas. I also started a travel blog last year and talked about three things to do in Hull as a family and five things to do in Blackpool as a family.
We have been travelling on a budget the majority of time – if you’re wondering how to do this, here’s a fab post with some top budget travel tips.
But what have we got planned in 2020?
Disneyland Paris
This is booked in for February half term and I cannot wait! The kids are super excited and I’m like a big kid myself. Expect plenty of content about it!
Boston
With Steve’s parents now living in Lincolnshire, it is almost guaranteed that we will visit the Boston area a few times this year. I would love to explore the area in more detail as we haven’t been able to see much of it yet.
Iceland
This was a possibility for February but we couldn’t get a good enough deal for all four of us nor get someone to have the kids for a couple of days so that just me and Steve could go. We are hoping to book it for October half term but we are hoping to find a worthwhile deal before committing to anything.
Scotland
I’ve never been to Scotland and it is somewhere I have always wanted to go. My mum visited Edinburgh recently and so did Rhian which has just made me want to visit even more! Steve has always been keen on visiting Scotland so I’d say the country is probably a must this year.
Wales
I’ve been to Wales once before when we stayed at Bluestone but I would love to go back, perhaps visit North Wales instead this time. I think Wales is a beautiful country and would love to see it in more detail.
So these are the places I plan on visiting in 2020. There will probably be some other places we head to which I will be sure to post about – and we might not even make all these on this list! What are your travel plans for 2020?

Very exciting that you are going to Disneyland Paris in February, we are also hoping to go at some point this year we just haven’t figured out when. A place I am dying to visit is Ireland! I was born on St Patrick’s day but have never been
Oh wow, what fab trips you have planned. I’d love to visit Scotland too, but I think I’m going to leave that a few years so my husband and I can go alone! lol Mich x
This is a lovely list of places to visit.
We did Disneyland in February, it was beautiful but freezing so definitely wrap up!
Edinburgh is on our list this year as well.
I hope you have a wonderful travel filled year x
Iceland is so high on my travel wishlist and if we hadn’t been in the process of moving it’s what I would have liked to do for my 30th. But we’ll just do it delayed a few years later x
I would love to take my family to Iceland as there is so much to do there as a family and the landscape is so interesting as well. Do share your photos when you visit these places
Sounds like a great year of travel plans. I’d love to go to Disneyland Paris with the kids. North Wales is gorgeous.
