Collaborative Post
You might have missed it from one of my recent posts but unfortunately we are having to move again as our landlord is looking to sell. We have just under a month to go yet still haven’t found anywhere so we are ferociously packing but with no clue where we are going.
However that hasn’t stopped us from making plans for any new home we move into. Here’s what we have got planned.
New Sofa
Our sofa has been dying a slow death for months now so we are planning on taking it to the dump as and when we move and then getting a new (or new to us) one. It’s a recliner and some springs have broken and it just isn’t comfortable anymore so we definitely need to replace it and get something else instead.
New Beds For The Kids
Jack is desperately in need of a new bed. We aren’t sure whether we will end up in a 2 bed property or bigger – if a 2 bed then we will get bunk beds and put Olivia’s in storage as that is still pretty new. However no matter what, there will be new beds being bought, whether it is a single for Jack or bunk beds for the two of them.
Places To Relax In The Garden
We have bought a few pieces for the garden here including a table and chairs with parasol and a barbecue but I am definitely looking at getting some luxury rattan furniture so I can relax in style. I love our table and chairs but it isn’t very comfortable for extended periods of time and sometimes you just want to chill out in the garden!
I often like to sit out there and work too so need something comfortable for that and rattan furniture seems like the perfect choice!

Getting Rid
We are currently in the process of getting rid of a lot of stuff from the house, just because we don’t want to move it with us. I have a few bags of kids clothes for the charity shop and the kids have also gone through their toys and put aside a few bags for donation. We are being quite brutal because I don’t want to take them from place to place – especially if they aren’t being used!
Make It Our Own
It is more than likely we will be renting privately or with the help of the authorities as it is getting so close to our leave date (although we are looking into shared ownership for the future) but I’d love the chance to make it our own as much as we are allowed. I love having photos up on the wall and canvases of our favourite memories or places. We’ve already got some fab pieces to put up and I can’t wait to see them up wherever we go to next.
These are just a few of our plans for our new home, wherever it may be. Here’s hoping we find something absolutely perfect for us!
