Life After A Lockdown {Linky} – Week 75

Sarah is taking a well deserved break this week so you won’t be seeing her answers but come on in and check out how the past week has been for me!

You probably already know but this linky is run by myself and Sarah from Life In A Breakdown. If you want to join in then you simply need to write your own post, link back to both myself and Sarah within the post and then add it to the Inlinkz tool at the bottom of this post.

So what are the questions?

1. How are you feeling/coping?
2. What have you been up to over the past 7 days? Are you living life as normal, being cautious or still being very careful?
3. What’s a helpful tip you would like the future to know about living in / or after a pandemic?
4. What tips do you have for others when out and about?
5. What is your favourite post of the past 7 days (it could be yours or someone else’s)?
6. What have you been grateful for over the past 7 days?
7. What has made you smile this week?
8. Anything else you would like to mention?

1. How are you feeling/coping?

It has been an exhausting and emotional week. On Tuesday we noticed that something wasn’t quite right with one of our pet rats so isolated him from the others to keep an eye on him. He wasn’t eating or drinking properly so we took him to the vets.

He was given antibiotics and painkillers but on Friday evening he still wasn’t getting any better so we resolved to speak to the vets in the morning and find out our options. Unfortunately I came downstairs early Saturday morning to find he had passed away – I can only hope he didn’t suffer and it was old age rather than anything else as the vet couldn’t find anything obvious originally.

2. What have you been up to over the past 7 days? Are you living life as normal, being cautious or still being very careful?

Obviously been at the vets a few times plus getting the kids ready for school. We also visited a steam fair at the weekend – full review to come – and a classic car show.

3. What’s a helpful tip you would like the future to know about living in/or after a pandemic?

That it is okay to take it easy if everything is getting on top of you.

4. What tips do you have for others when out and about?

Do what makes you feel safe.

5. What is your favourite post of the past 7 days (it could be yours or someone else’s)?

I really enjoyed reading this post from Rhian.

6. What have you been grateful for over the past 7 days?

Family.

7. What has made you smile this week?

Seeing how excited Olivia was for her first day in Reception.

8. Anything else you would like to mention?

I can’t think of anything!

  1. Sorry to hear about your pet rat, hopefully it was just old age and he didn’t suffer. I hope Olivia enjoys Reception and comes home with lots of stories to tell you

  2. I am so sorry to hear about your rat pet. Awful losing family animals . Sending you lots of love

I am so sorry to hear your pet rat died. It can be so upsetting as it doesn’t take long before pets even these types become part of the family. We love our hamsters.
