A little while back, we were asked if we would like to take part in the Lego Dream Home competition with Ocean Dream Homes. Letting a three year old build a home is quite a daunting task but I think he did quite well.
Inspired by The Simpsons (or so he tells me), Jack made his house very colourful and used a lot of bricks to make the front and the rest of the house. This meant we get a birds eye view of inside and boy, did he go to town on that!
Jack loves The Simpsons at the moment and he really went to town on the decor inside. Knowing what things are essential in a house, he added a dining table (complete with food and drink items on top). a coffee table (with telephone), an armchair and a bed (complete with a baby wipe for the duvet cover). Placed next to the bed is apparently ‘Marge’s earring holder’.
Why do I think Jack deserves to win? Simply put, he is three years old but had an idea and went with it. He and I made a frame for his house and then he put together some items that actually do look like the real thing. When I asked him if this is the house he would like to live in when he’s older, he said yes.
So this is Jack’s dream home. What do you think?
