Recently myself and Steve have been discussing our holiday plans for 2016. We’ve been taking a look at our budget and seeing what we can afford and also considering when we can go due to Jack’s school and Steve’s shift work. Jack has recently become obsessed with going on an aeroplane and doesn’t believe us when we say he has been on one before. He is determined to get on a plane to go on holiday somewhere so we have been looking at various places that are affordable but also quite close to get to, we don’t want to go too far this year.
We’ve already been discussing UK breaks and have decided to go to Somerset at some point to visit the Cheddar Gorge and we’ve also put Liverpool and the Midlands on the list for places to visit – and for me to catch up with some blogger pals! Abroad wise, we are considering places like Tenerife where Steve’s sister lives or even Mallorca, somewhere neither of us have visited but have heard great things about.

I haven’t been abroad that much, only to Rome and Paris and would like to spread my wings a little more. Jack has only been abroad once but Steve has been to a multitude of places – he’s very reluctant to go back to a place when he’s been there though so that throws a lot of places off the list. So far, Mallorca is looking like the choice for an overseas holiday, none of us have been there before so the experience will be new and fresh for all of us. It will mean some saving on our part but with Steve trying to pick up as much overtime as possible and our debts getting paid off slowly but surely, I am sure it is something we will manage at some point this year.
Have you ever been to any of the places I’ve mentioned? Where would you suggest visiting?

I went to Mallorca last year. It’s a lovely island. Palma is so historic and the island is gorgeous.
