Happy New Year! It is finally 2015 and that means a whole year of new experiences and fun to be had. I’ve got plenty of plans for the year ahead and some of them stretch to my blog too. I’ve compiled a list of my blogging goals for 2015 – let’s see if I can achieve them.
1 | To find a better balance
This means taking the time to schedule content ahead of time. I’ve lost count of the amount of times in 2014 where I’ve been sat up until whatever time trying to get something written because I haven’t managed to get it done all day. With Jack going to pre school and Steve at work, I will have more time to get freelance work, blog work and housework done. Hopefully no more late, late nights and scheduled content will ease that workload for me.
2 | Keep to a posting schedule
I am planning to post at least five times a week on this blog and at least three times a week on Keene On Saving. Sure, that is a lot of content but if I keep to goal no.1 and keep my ideas folder topped up, I should be okay. I’m going into 2015 with at least three weeks worth of content ideas for Futures and two weeks worth for Keene On Saving. I can do this.
3 | To reach a million pageviews
This would be nice although I’m not too bothered if it doesn’t happen – it would just be my little ego boost, haha!
4 | Get back to guest posting again
I love guest posting so I’m hoping to do some more next year.
5 | Utilise Pinterest and Google+ more
With the news that Facebook engagement is going to be completely non existent with nobody seeing my posts, I’m going to focus more of my attention elsewhere, namely Pinterest and Google+. I will still use my Facebook page but I want to see what happens with these instead.
6 | Keep to my new strategy and be confident enough to say no
Finally, this big one. I’ve mentioned before that I am refocusing my content this year and backing away from some forms of content that dominated my blog last year (parenting posts, reviews).
Whilst I love being a mum, I’m not just a mum and I feel the need to show that. This blog will be more about my life in general and being a mum may come into that; blogging and my freelance work.
Perhaps the odd beauty, food or book post here and there. This means being confident in my new strategy going ahead and also being confident to say no to collaborations that are no longer right for my content. Wish me luck!
What are your blogging goals for 2015?

Interesting about Facebook. I've only just started my Facebook page, people still seem to put some store by it. I might have to look into interest as well though. All the best in life and blogging in 2015.xx
Thanks Natalie, same to you too!
All the very best with your 2015 goals. I'd love to get to a million page views on mine too but it's an extremely long way off at the moment. I shall aim for 20,000 views instead. Happy New Year x
Thanks Emily! Hope you reach it, have a fantastic New Year! x

I'm with you on the Pinterest goal. I tend to forget about Pinterest for months at a time, hopefully this year I will learn to utilise it. Good luck with your goals!
