I managed to beat my challenge 0f 25 books but I am carrying on to see how many I can get read! I hit a major slump in recent months so haven’t got as far as I would have liked. However here are books 31-35.
The Guest House by David Mark (3/5) – ARC sent by Netgalley for review
This was an intriguing novel with many twists and turns. I did find the storyline a little confusing to keep up with at first, especially with the introduction of many different characters and trying to figure out what relevance they had to the story. The beginning bit confused me as I get why it makes sense for the story but it is never followed up on – do those men from the submarine get away?
With the title being The Guest House, I expected the story to be centred more around the guest house itself rather than it just being a base – all the true action occurs elsewhere so it does make me question why this title was used.
I found Ronni quite whiny and annoying – constantly moaning about her ex and his new ‘squeeze’ then moaning about her new man and wanting her ex back a page or two later. Not that her ex, his new girlfriend or the new man were any better by a long shot though!
I would love to see more from Nicholas Roe though – he was a very interesting character and described in vivid detail. I will definitely check out more from the author. You can buy the book here {affiliate link}.
Beating About The Bush by M.C Beaton (4/5)
You know I love an Agatha Raisin novel and this didn’t disappoint. A great addition to the series and sees Agatha getting into the scrapes and situations that we know and love her for. You can buy the book here {affiliate link}.
The Price by Kerry Kaya (4/5) – Copy sent for review

Get The Hell Out Of Debt: The Proven 3-Phase Method That Will Radically Shift Your Relationship With Money by Erin Skye Kelly (4/5) – ARC sent via Netgalley for review
I read a lot of money books – whether they are about saving, budgeting, earning, business or debt – so I was intrigued by this book.
An interesting look at debt and how to get out of it. Some information wasn’t relevant to me as I am not based in the US however the author does have an universal approach within the book that makes sense.

You Did WHAT? by Tova Leigh (4/5) – ARC sent via Netgalley for review
A funny look at motherhood and life as a woman. I loved all the secrets sent in from women to Tova. So many that other women can easily identify with.
Some I found utterly hilarious, some I found completely disgusting and some I just don’t believe are real. Not that the author made them up but that the people sending them in just tried to go to the extreme, if you know what I mean.
However if you are looking for a good laugh, this is well worth a read. Buy your copy here {affiliate link}.

I am off on holiday (hopefully) in November and looking at a book or two to take away, I love the sound of some of these especially You Did What? will have a look for it.
I don’t often read novels anymore but The Guest House sounds like a pretty good read to me!
Wow that is definitely impressive ! . I must admit I haven’t read as much as I wanted to this year , but I guess anything is better than nothing .
