Morrocan Oil

I’ve never been one of those girls who is obsessed with hair care. I used to be the get up, wash hair and go kind of girl. I rarely use straighteners however over the past few years, I have noticed my hair needing much more TLC than before.
I think a combination of constantly dying my hair plus pregnancy really left my hair feeling lifeless and lacklustre and seeing as hairdressers are so expensive these days, I needed to find something to give me that salon treatment from the comfort of my own home.
Step forward the cult product that is Moroccan Oil, a product that I’m pretty sure everyone has heard about at some point! Plenty of my friends swear by it so what better time to bite the bullet and give it  a try?
The oil is thick and golden in colour and looks quite ominous when you first see it!

I have quite thick hair and my scalp can sometimes get quite oily so I avoid my roots slightly when working up from the ends of my hair. I had been noticing a lot more frizz lately, much more than usual which I have put down to lack of care and attention – having left work and being at home most of the time, I don’t feel the need to make as much of an effort as I would when I was at my old job – Jack doesn’t care if I don’t put on a whole face of makeup or don’t spend ages on my hair!

I soon realised this was the wrong attitude to have when I was battling with my frizzy hair and decided to give this a try. I simply incorporated this midway into my haircare routine and noticed a difference almost instantly. There is no better feeling after a day at the salon than to feel how silky and smooth your hair is. Whilst not only making my hair look better, Moroccan Oil also does just this – leaves me feeling like I’ve just walked out of the salon! Whilst it is a little on the pricy side for me, I will definitely be looking at alternatives and perhaps adding this to my Christmas list as it really does deserve all the hype it gets. My hair has never looked better.

You can buy Moroccan Oil in most beauty & haircare shops, including here where they currently have some fab offers on the different sizes of Moroccan Oil available.

I have heard a lot about Moroccan oils but haven't tried yet. I believe it's not yet available in India. But as soon as they launch it in India, I would grab it. Indian girls are very very serious about hair care, you know. Loved reading this post Bex 🙂

Avon do a REALLY brilliant Moroccan Argan oil. I've reviewed it here http://candyflosshead.blogspot.ie/2013/02/haircare-review-avon-advance-techniques.html

It's AMAZING and only around £5.50 in your currency 🙂 I use one pump every time I wash my hair (2-3 times a week) and I've still got some left. I reckon I'll need to buy more in a month or two. It's amazing, it's made a huge difference to my hair, and for that price, you really can't go wrong

I've yet to try the 'real' Moroccan Oil, but I don't think I could justify spending so much on it when the Avon one is just amazing!

    xx

  6. This is def a good solid hair product. I especially enjoy using it before blow drying my hair (which i try not to do too often) – it's much easier to style it the way i want afterwards.
The good thing about this oil is, you almost can't overuse it. You hair doesn't look greasy. And that's def a great plus point. Oh and it lasts like forewer!
