The lovely Zoe recently sent out a tweet asking if anyone wanted to trial a T-Zone mask for her. I haven’t had much success with previous Montagne Jeunesse products but my skin has been appalling recently and I thought it would be worth trying out.
Montagne Jeunesse are a well-known face mask and skincare brand, often found in various chemists and supermarkets alike. The brand is easily distinguishable by their bright packaging of their masks; they certainly catch your eye when out on display. They retail quite cheaply, for around £1 for a mask; which if it works, is a fantastic price to pay to feel fantastic.
I adore the packaging, bright colours really keep me interested. I quite like the two different segments – the bottom half for the first step; the T-Zone mask; and the top half for the final step; the moisturiser. I sometimes find these masks a little fiddly to open but I had no troubles with these.
The T-Zone mask itself is a bright green in colour, quite deceiving really – it is exactly the same colour as the mask the model on the packaging is wearing, but provides nowhere near as much coverage as the levels that the model is wearing. Designed to purify your skin, this tea-tree and witch hazel medley smells divine. It is quite sticky in consistency and applies quite thickly to the skin.
Apologies for the massive close-up of my face – call me Freckles! This is just to show the mask a few seconds after application – as you can see, the green liquid seems to turn clear once applied as a mask. You can definitely feel the mask doing its work, here is a picture of my cheek as the mask began to tighten:
I haven’t included pictures of the peel-off as it was rather grim, to be honest. For the first step, I have to say my face did feel better – it felt softer and not as dry. I don’t know how to explain exactly what the feeling was like, but I definitely felt like my skin had been purified and any nasties had been drawn out with the mask.
I then applied the moisturiser, but being the silly blogger I am, I applied it whilst in the bath and completely forgot to take pictures! I know, I know! It was, however, of a creamy consistency and sunk in reasonably well, leaving my skin feeling even softer than before.
Would I repurchase? Although this mask far excelled other products I’ve tried in the range, I’d have to say no. Although they are a fantastic price and I have finally found one for me, I’d prefer to keep looking for that one face mask that makes me go WOW!

I tried one this week too. I've always found them to be hit and miss. Sometimes I have a great feeling of cleansed-ness and other times I have a horrible allergic reaction! x

Even though you wouldn't repurchase, I think I might try this one. Living in a city center sometimes my skin feels just overly polluted and dry!

I haven't used these for absolutely ages! I think I last used one at my final year ball at uni and that was many years more than I care to remember. I got on with them okay, but I don't think they were anything especially special x

Omg I have one of them. I haven't used it yet so… it'll be interesting when I finally do. I usually tend to just use Bodyshop products and the heat face mask thing.
