You may have noticed we took a break over the Christmas and New Year holidays as we felt it was time to. However with the news from last night ringing in our ears as we plunge back into a national lockdown, here we are once again!
If you’ve been here before, you’ll remember that the idea came from Jenni and Sarah and I was kindly asked to come on board. I’ve been sharing my thoughts and feelings over the past few months so here I am once again.

1. How are you feeling/coping?
Well – after the news last night, I’m a little meh! It needed to happen, we all knew it was going to happen but for it to actually happen was a bit shocking as I didn’t expect Boris to bow down to pressure so quickly.
I’m now stressing about working from home around the kids home schooling – especially as this time around Olivia is also home schooling and they’ve set up Google Classroom so will be having live sessions.
I’m also trying to make Olivia’s birthday on Friday as special as can be as she won’t be seeing anyone outside of the house – she was so excited to go into school on Friday and see her friends as one of them has the same birthday!
2) What have you been up to over the past 7 days?
Not much – work has obviously been quiet, advent competitions have disappeared. I’ve been spending lots of time with the family and then also reading a lot and decluttering all the Christmas stuff. Oh, and watching the darts matches! Oh and another murder mystery event too!
3) What do you think the coming weeks and months might hold for you (or the world)?
I’m choosing to look upon the next few weeks with hope but with a little uncertainty. I’m hoping the fact that the two vaccines now in distribution plus this lockdown finally help to bring this awful virus to its knees and eventually we can all get some sense of normality back.
4) If you could remind yourself something about this time in years to come, what would it be?
Who my true friends are.
5) What have you bought this week that others might like? Especially if from a small business.
I can’t think of anything!

Virtual murder mysteries again plus watching the darts!

I read a lot about true crime!

It was nice to have the Christmas break. We all knew what the announcement was going to be, but it is always a shock when you hear the words. We do need this and hopefully with the vaccines we start to see this come under control a little
I think we are all feeling it at the moment. It’s hard. Good luck with the homeschooling, I’m so glad I don’t have school-age kids any more. My son is working in a supermarket so is in contact with people all the time but luckily he’s on the home shopping so not the tills.
I can’t believe that we aren’t any further forward than March! We’ve done it before though so we’ll be able to do it again. I’m going to look up online murder mysteries though, that sounds fun!
I’m finding the home schooling much harder than last year, but perhaps I’ve just blanked it all out!
I think the news last night thought not surprising definitely brought a lot of us to despair but it needed to happen I guess.
I agree, the lockdown was inevitable but when it did happen, I was in shock too. Was hoping 2021 was going to be better than 2020. Fingers crossed that things will pick up
I’ve always had a goals book and looking back at some of them is quite funny and simple but makes me smile that I’ve achieved them.
It feels a bit ground hog day doesn’t it? Been there, done that, back again. I knew it was coming but I still haven’t processed it that well.
What a strange time it is? I naively hope that things will be better by March but who knows!
