Goals

How Did I Get On With My 2020 Goals?

2020 was a strange one and not one any of us expected at the beginning of the year. With that being said, many people didn’t manage to achieve their goals through no fault of their own. I thought it would be nice to look back and see what I did achieve and what I didn’t manage to achieve. For a reminder of my goals, check the post out here.

Get Rid Of All Consumer Debt By The End Of The 2020

I didn’t manage this one although I got quite close. I have halved it in 2020 which I think is pretty good!

Setting Treat Goals

I talked about making time for myself and giving myself treats every now and then but I didn’t do this that much this year – mainly because we couldn’t do much!

Grow My Business Even More

I managed to this in 2020! I started freelance writing for a few more clients, did more virtual assistance work and worked with some fab new brands in 2020 too!

Get Fit

I definitely did not manage this one! I managed to lose a stone and start working out at one point during 2020 but this one was pretty much a washout.

Read More Non-Fiction

I definitely managed this. Out of the 47 books I read in 2020, 11 were non-fiction! I really enjoyed reading more non fiction during the year.

Go Out At Least Twice A Month

We obviously did not manage this! We did go out quite a few times over the first couple of months but then everything happened which meant we do not.

Try Something New

I tried virtual murder mysteries online if that counts as something new? It has been a lot of fun and for Christmas, we actually managed to get one right!

Write Something & Self Publish It

I did not manage this – there just wasn’t enough time when I have been working and the kids were at home too.

Grow My Travel Blog

I have put plenty of content on the blog this year but obviously could not grow it as much as I hoped to due to the travel restrictions in place this year.

Travel More

Like the one above, I couldn’t do this due to the travel restrictions. Hopefully 2021 will be different.

Did you set any goals for 2020? How did you get on? Are you setting any goals for 2021?

  1. I think if any of us could hit any goal we set last year I think we must see that as a win. Such a tricky year but it looks like you’ve done really well with your goals x

  2. I would be surprised if anyone reached their goals last year, it was certainly one no one saw coming. But to have worked towards then and worked on them is still something to feel proud of x

  3. Travel more is a goal I set every year, hopefully… hopefully it may happen! You certainly cracked on with your goals – nicely done on reading so many books too! That is a goal for me this year, I have no excuses! Sim x

  4. The virtual murder mysteries sound really great fun. Well done on losing a stone! It’s been such a hard year for everyone you did well

I set mini-goals over the year for different savings and reading goals and overall I think the year went very well. For us we just concentrated on the house move x

  6. I think 2020 was too tough a year for most of us so even accomplishing one goal is an amazing feat. Well done.

2020 was not a great year but I did achieve quite a lot. My garden has never looked so good, my reading went well and lots of walking kept me fit, not forgetting cooking from scratch much more

Well done. Really interesting to see how you’ve done in such a challenging year
