Life In A Lockdown {Linky} – Week 29

Week 29 and here we are again. How has the week been for you?

If you’re a regular visitor to this site, you may know that this linky was born from a suggestion from Jenni at Lyrical Host, my fabulous hosting company and which came to fruition thanks to the brilliant mind of Sarah. We are still here 29 weeks later and show no signs of stopping!

The rules for linking up with us are pretty simple. All we ask is that you link back to me and Sarah in your post as we are the hosts and then answer the questions that we too answer every week. This week we have updated the questions to fit these new times so I’d love to see a few more of you joining up. Once you’ve added your post, submit it via the Inlinkz tool at the bottom of the post!

Here are the new questions:

1) How are you feeling/coping?
2) What have you been up to over the past 7 days?
3) What do you think the coming weeks and months might hold for you (or the world)?
4) If you could remind yourself something about this time in years to come what would it be?
5) What have you bought this week that others might like? Especially if from a small business.
6) What is a unique (or not) technique you have used to get you through this time?
7) What is something your readers might not know about you?
8) What have you been grateful for over the past 7 days?
So how has the past week been for me?
1) How are you feeling/coping?
I am feeling okay! Tired as the past few weeks have been a bit full on with school, work, clubs and a lot more. It is strange getting back to some sense of normality even if they all have special measures in place.
2) What have you been up to over the past 7 days?
Not much really except work and school runs and clubs and stuff like that!
3) What do you think the coming weeks and months might hold for you (or the world)?
I dread to think. I really hope we get a hold on this virus sometime soon.
4) If you could remind yourself something about this time in years to come what would it be?
That as terrifying as it was, many of us came together in a time of crisis.
5) What have you bought this week that others might like? Especially if from a small business.
I’ve not actually bought much really – just books like normal, haha!
6) What is a unique (or not) technique you have used to get you through this time?
Much the same as what I mentioned last week – Zoom quizzes, Zoom murder mysteries and things like that.
7) What is something your readers might not know about you?
That I have never broken a bone in my body!
8) What have you been grateful for over the past 7 days?
My family and friends like always.

  1. It is hard to believe we are still here going through this, but it is amazing how this has brought a lot of people together

  2. Did you ever think you would use zoom quite so much? I hope you are getting back into routine OK it can’t be easy after so long without it.

  3. I am feeling frustrated. Numbers are rising again here and some people just don’t take it seriously. I am grateful my boys have their health, but I also wish my youngest understood why he can’t do his sports right now.

  4. Sometimes I still catch myself wondering what on earth is going on or whether I’m dreaming that this is all really happening!

  5. Jess Howliston says:

Wow I cannot believe we are onto week 29! It has been such a strange time and it has been going on so long now, the past with no restrictions feels like a distant memory! I really hope we can get a hold of things soon too as I hate all of this uncertainty and the idea that everything can be turned on its head in a heartbeat with restrictions and lockdowns etc!

  6. Melanie williams says:

Ooo I do like the sound of the zoom murder mysteries, as this sounds like a fun thing to do in worrying times xx

  7. I am feeling tired too, I think it is a change in the weather and the light changes that doesn’t help

  8. Interesting fact to learn that you have not broken a bone in your body. I do hope things pick up, as being in a routine does make me tired as well. Hope you are enjoying all the zoom quizes

  9. I have never broken a bone in my body either! My other half thinks that is bonkers because he’s broken loads.

  10. I have been busy this week with my blog, getting my Christmas Gift Guides ready to up soon.

  11. Marie Evans says:

Well being of the older generation & vulnerable healthwise (COPD Asthma) At first frightened to go out..to the stage where family was worried I was ever going out again. Especially when i did Online grocery shopping for the first time. Once Masks were a necessity to enter places & i realised stores were taking this seriously & providing cleaning areas I did feel somewhat relieved & feel able to go out. I believe a lot of people will realise these lockdowns are vital to try & curb the rise of positives & Covid deaths. Sadly to the expense of businesses. Personally I think like anything else you learn to cope best you can. Thank goodness for Zoom I say.

  12. We have had a busy week and I am so glad we have half term next week. I am watching with dread as it seems that more areas around us are going up to the higher tiers. We are basically staying home unless its school.
