It is week two of our linky and we are back again to find out how you are keeping during lockdown. Sarah and I had a great response last week and hope to see a similar response this week. So let’s see my answers then…
1) How are you feeling/coping?
I am doing okay. It is starting to get a little monotonous so I am trying to do different things to keep myself occupied and my brain alert.
2) What are you doing to keep yourself occupied?
I am doing more stuff around the house, trying out more meal ideas, watching more TV as we have had Virgin installed. I have had read quite a few books this week, caught up with some of my favourite blogs and even got some blog posts written and scheduled. On the more boring side of things, I’ve also been updating my spreadsheets and catching up with bills.
3) How are you dealing with everything at the moment – are you self-isolated, going out for essentials etc? Has this changed?
Finding it a little tougher at the moment as it is all starting to seem monotonous. But I am doing okay in the grand scheme of things.
4) What advice do you have for others?
Stay at home and keep safe. I don’t think anything else really needs to be said.
5) What have you bought this week that others might like? Especially if from a small business.
I’ve really only bought stuff for the house that we need. I’ve actually been quite good about not buying stuff and saving my money.
6) How has your routine been this week? (Question by Don’t Cramp My Style)
It has been a bit more relaxed this week as it is the Easter holidays but I have asked that Jack do a little schoolwork or sheets we set him here and there.
7) Have you planned anything for once lockdown is over in the past 7 days?? (Question by Don’t Cramp My Style)
Only meeting up with friends as you’d expect. I watched something called Celebrity Murder Mystery the other day and was talking to my friend about it so we are considering doing a murder mystery experience when everything is back to normal.

I have to admit I’m finding it hard to find the time to write posts. I am however doing more with the kids than normal and getting to catch up on some tv to unwind t night which is fun. I do wish more were listening to the stay home advice, so many seem to be ignoring that in London. Great linky idea.
A great read. I’m doing OK. I don’t mind being in the bubble as I am with my family, but it does dread me to go out for an essential shop. I’m quite paranoid of picking the virus up, even though I glove and mask but they aren’t always effective. I’m trying to keep busy, like you, I’m reading books, I’m on the Lovely Bones book, which I had read a couple of years ago, but I wanted to read again. Also, I’ve been getting active by putting the music channel on amd dancing with my daughter. Music is the best medicine after all!
My advice to everyone would be to stay home. That being said, I recommend keeping a shopping lis and only go out weekly (or less frequently) for essentials. I am generally on the go with family and work in and out of the home so my routine has definitely been relaxed a bit.
Great post. It is such a difficult time but making the most of it is really important.
It feels like it is starting to become the new normal now, I am balancing work and home schooling a little better and I am even managing to do some stuff round the house that I would normally have overlooked.

Finding the motivation to write is certainly harder at the moment, but I put that down to the fact my ‘free time’ is somewhat limited these days! Peace and quiet is a thing of the past for sure! 😉 The downtime is lovely though and the house is looking somewhat tidier – just cannot wait to get out and see people! Sim x
I do find the isolation to be very hard, especially because I live on my own. It’s definitely a period in which I am not creative at all and I lack motivation.
I have, strangely, found the lockdown to be a relief as I think it was the right decision and worried it would be delayed and the spread would be to much for the NHS and I am making the most of spending time as a family and enjoying the sunshine in the back garden.
I’m keeping myself occupied by writing and scheduling blog posts. If I’m lucky, I won’t have to write another post for the rest of the year after this
Ive been watching lots of tv too. Ive also been able to catch up on my blogging too
I’ve been having a great time with my daughters, although balancing work and educating my girls in a difficult task.
I painted the bathroom ceiling yesterday which is something I have wanted to do for months. All the little jobs are slowly being done
It is getting to be the same and it is hard trying to keep up with what the days are, we are just doing one day at a time #lifeinalockdown

I think you’re right the days are blending a bit at the moment. It sounds like you’ve got a few different things to occupy you – and it’s good to spend time doing the things you enjoy too.
I’ve been spending a lot of time with my family and each of my kids has productive things. We are doing well and are staying at home. Keep safe everyone.
I agree it’s starting to become a bit more monotonous now, especially with a minimum of another 3 weeks to go! At least you have the Murder Mystery to look forward to (eventually!) .
