I don’t remember the last time I sat here to write a simple, chatty post all about what has been going on with my life. Since I last updated you properly, I have taken redundancy from my job in retail and gone back to being a stay at home mum. I am also currently in the process of setting up my own business which is taking up a lot of my time.
You may have noticed that there has been a lot more content on Futures recently – this is simply because I have had more time to sit down and write more posts. I have time to take pictures, time to write – it feels so weird! I am also currently trying to revamp the collaborative book blog I am part of – Hanging On Every Word – and create more content for that; I hit a bit of a reading slump during the whole redundancy period but am now back to reading with a bang so expect lots of reviews coming your way! I also have two more exciting projects in the pipeline!
In other news, I have almost been engaged for a whole year – 21st September is the 1st anniversary of our engagement on our last night in Rome – crazy how quick time flies! We are also quickly coming up to Jack’s second birthday which I can hardly believe! I’m really enjoying my time spent at home with him and I really hope he is too – even if he has hit the terrible twos slightly early!
I am on a spending ban until the 30th of November as well – I must be crazy! This is to try and bump our wedding savings up a bit. I am trying every which way to boost our savings right now, the latest being selling on my local Facebook groups. What is your best way of earning and saving money?
My Wedding Planning Wednesday posts are also now a linkup – make sure to link any wedding related blog posts here.
On a last note, what kind of posts would you like to see? I have recently started coming up with a rough posting schedule and it is working amazingly for me but I am always interested in new post ideas!

It's nice to have time to do the things you want to do without having to work around a work schedule (if that makes sense?) so I'm glad you're enjoying your time with Jack and blogging more!
Maybe you could do some more of these Let's Chat posts with a different topic every couple of weeks? That's the best I can come up with at the moment but you're sure to think up something brilliant! 😀

Fab idea hun! I shall definitely do something like that 🙂
Yeah, I totally know what you mean, it is so refreshing to work to my time x
Agree that the Let's Chat being regular would be nice and I am a bookworm so any reviews are good. Speaking of saving money with weddings, we didn't hire a photographer, Will's Dad took the photos. We had a more relaxed wedding because of it as well as saving money. Have you got a friend who is into photography?
Fab 🙂 I will definitely make Let's Chat a regular feature plus will try and feature a few more book reviews on here although most will be on Hanging On Every Word xx
Oh well good luck with your spending ban xx
lots of love Beautyqueenuk xx
Thanks hun x
I find these kinds of posts very insightful! Good luck on your spending ban (:
That is good to hear! Thanks Yuen!x
I don't think I could last a week on a spending ban (in fact I know for a fact I couldn't, I've tried countless times and failed), so I'm in awe you're planning on until the end of November!
