Learning To Write

This weekend has been spent learning how to write. Jack recently turned three and has been getting more interested in numbers and letters than he was before. We asked him to spell his name yesterday and this is what we got…

Not sure how much of it you can make out but he managed to get both the A and the C right and the J is the wrong way round. Not sure what happened with the K but I am so proud of how well he is doing with his learning – I will be sharing a post on the best learning resources and apps for toddlers in the next few weeks – and I can’t wait to see how this develops over the year, especially when he starts at pre school.

This has been my Magic Moment of the week…whats yours?

  1. Awww my son is learning how to write too and I totally can get the j-a-c letters! I think the k is that square. My son would usually put symbols, shapes when he is having a hard time writing a word or letter. #MagicMoments

    1. Ah thats interesting to know! Maybe it is a child thing using the shapes and symbols then?

  2. Aww wonderful, my daughter has just learnt to write her name. It is such a wonderful milestone and a proud mama moment #magicmoments

  3. I can make out j-a-c absolutely, at three my little boy had no interest in pens and pencils and had no control my little girl at 3 was already writing her name! I will be looking out for the apps and tips ready for baby boy to start forming letters!

  4. That is definitely the beginning of writing, the letters are there to see. Well done. #MagicMoments
