I’ve mentioned plenty of times that I love a candle so when Kindred Fires asked if I would like to review a candle, I couldn’t say no! I opted for the Rainbow Gift Personalised Candle, personalised with the quote ‘When it rains, look for rainbows. when it’s dark, look for stars’. I chose the scent cassis & wild fig.
I have a thing about rainbows. As well as the connotations with Pride and supporting the NHS, rainbows mean a lot to me as some of you may know Olivia is my ‘rainbow baby’ after a tough end to 2015. So I had to choose this one as it called out to me.
Retailing at £16, this personalised candle is hand poured with soy wax and has a burn time of 25 hours. It comes in a variety of scents – I could choose between 11 different scents. You can also add a personalised message of your choice and the senders name if you so wish.
Opening up the candle lid, you can already smell the stunning scent. I couldn’t resist lighting it as soon as it arrived to see what the scent was like once the candle was burning. Described as a sweet, delicate scent that Kindred Fires simply adore, I have to say I agree. The scent is definitely a slow burner – you don’t notice it straight away but it slowly seeps into your consciousness. I would certainly say it is most obvious if you leave the room and then come back in and it is a deliciously sweet scent that the whole family have been enjoying.
I’ve been burning this on and off for a couple of weeks now and I’ve barely made a dent in it so the claim of 25 hours burn time definitely rings true – I wouldn’t be surprised if it took even longer! The personalisation is super cute – their packaging is lovely and lightweight. I love the smell of the candle whether it is burning or unlit and would definitely consider trying out the other scents in the range.
At £16, this is a fantastic price for a scented candle – especially one personalised with a message of your choice. It is super affordable, suitable to most budgets and makes a fantastic gift for a loved one.

I love soy based candles and this rainbow design is so beautiful. The personalisation touch is unique and perfect as a birthday gift or even Christmas present
Perfect timing! I was searching online for some new scented candles to buy. I am considering to get Kindred Fires candle for myself and for my sister. I am sure she will love this “just because” gift I will give her.
