As a fan of both literature and the landscape of England, I thought this book would be of real interest to me – and I wasn’t wrong! This was a fascinating read and really informed me on many different things I didn’t know about the author and the locations.
The book details all of the places of importance to Jane Austen. Places she lived, locations she used in her books and locations used for TV and cinema adaptations. It is amazing just how many different places are connected to Jane Austen – you’d be so surprised!
I’ve read a couple of Jane Austen’s books in the past but didn’t know much about the woman behind the written word. This book helped to get me to know her a little better and find out more about her life and the different places in the UK that meant so much to her.
The book is part biography, part travel guide of different places in the UK and is full of beautiful photography. Not only does this feature travel tips, walking routes and tour times but also Jane Austen trivia, perfect for any discerning Jane Austen fan.
I’ve mentioned before how much we like travelling around the UK and I am extremely tempted to use this as a guide and visit some of the different locations mentioned in the book.
The cover is absolutely beautiful and this would make a wonderful talking point on your bookshelf. This book is a must read for literature fans and people who would like to explore the UK in more detail.

This is one of the few books I have read. I have also visited most of the places in it. Highly recommended
It sounds like you found the book an interesting read. I’m sure this would make a nice gift for one of my friends as she loves Jane Austen and likes to explore the UK. I’m sure she would visit some of the places mentioned in the book.
This sounds like a really interesting book, I bet England looked so different when she walked the streets. Sometimes I would love to have a time machine and actually really get to see it for myself. Of course, that isn’t possible so following via this book seems like a great choice instead.
It really is amazing how many places are connected to literary stars, it must provide such good insight into the areas she used in her books x

I love Jane Austen novels, so this sounds like something that I’d enjoy exploring. I’m hoping to go and visit her home next year.
