I know I’ve mentioned that we plan to move in the not too distant future but if I could make some changes, I would be more than happy to remain here. When we moved in over five years ago, we were told that the landlady wanted to sell up within the next few years and we’d always considered buying it. Well we are still here and have had numerous thoughts about what we’d change if we did manage to buy it. So what would we do?
Get An Extension
It wouldn’t be much of an extension, just enough to create another bedroom and extend Jack’s. This would hopefully in turn create a conservatory underneath where we could sit and watch the world go by.
Redo The Garden
I’ve mentioned how unhappy the garden makes me sometimes. It is so uneven and gets so unkempt so quickly – it really isn’t nice. We’d have to level it off – paving what needs to be paved and making a nice little play area for the children in the other section.
Sort Out The Interior
I’ve never known a house to have so little plug sockets and radiators. It is crazy that the smallest bedroom in the house has no radiator as that is obviously where a child is going to sleep and who will need the heat more. We’d definitely add some more sockets and radiators if that was at all feasible and have been looking at the Designer Radiator Showroom for ideas.
Make The Entire Downstairs Open Plan
Our living room and dining room is already open plan but we are super keen to open up the kitchen as it is just so tiny! There is barely room to move in there so having an open space with more room in which to prepare and cook food would be essential if we were to purchase this property.
Redecorate
We desperately want to redecorate but we can’t. There’s so many things that need to be sorted here that haven’t been and as we aren’t allowed to make changes, we are reluctant to do so whilst we are just renting. Should this property be our own, we would have no qualms but right now, they will stay as they are.
What things would you change about your house if you got the chance?
