How I Got On With My 2019 Goals

As it is the last day of the year, I thought it a good time to share how I got on with my 2019 goals. I didn’t write a proper goals post for 2019 but did write my plans in a collaborative post shortly before 2019 began which you can read here.

Here is how I got on:

Move House

This has been on the list for a few years now but we still haven’t managed it. We’ve looked at quite a few properties but we’ve missed out on a few due to other people being quicker to say they want it. There’s also a real lack of properties in our budget in our area which match what we need. Hopefully we can find something in 2020 though whilst we continue to top up our house deposit savings.

Lose Weight

I managed to lose a little weight but I am pretty sure I have put on the stone I lost. I stopped updating on the blog and fell back into old habits. Hopefully 2020 I will fare much better.

Grow My Business

My work has gone from strength to strength in 2019. I waved goodbye to a couple of clients but took on a few more and took on more varied roles for my main clients too. I am offering a variety of services going forward and I can’t wait to see what 2020 brings.

I’ve been doing more on the blog, far more on social media and this year has shown me that virtual assistance is where my real strengths lie. I hope to offer even more services in the future.

Learn A New Skill

I didn’t manage this unfortunately. I’ve been so busy with family, work and travel this year that I just haven’t found the time. Maybe I can find something in 2020 that keeps me interested!

So here’s how I got on in 2019 – how did you get on with the goals you set yourself?

  1. Moving house is really tricky ion the current house market climate, lots of competition and outbidding. I hope 202 brings you everything you want and that your business continues to grow.

  2. I hoped to move house in 2020 but have the same issue of a lack of properties on the market for our budget/needs. I think people just aren’t selling at the moment with so much uncertainty.

  3. We have the same problem with moving house. We have been in our current one for 15 years now and I am desperate to move. Good luck with your search

  4. Some great intentions you have here . I would love to move this year too! Fingers cross you achieve everything on your list x

  5. Moving house is such a tricky one, we moved in the summer and it was such a stressful three months even with no chain behind us, I never want to move again!

  6. It sounds like you had a really productive year with your blog. I hope 2020 is just as productive, if not better!
