EasiYo Fresh Yogurt Starter Pack | Review

We were sent this product for the purpose of review. All thoughts and opinions are our own.

We eat a lot of yogurt in our house – we’ve always got plenty of different flavours in our fridge! When offered the chance to review the EasiYo Fresh Yogurt Starter Pack and to make our own yogurt, we just had to give it a go!

With plenty of us making more food at home, yogurt seemed like the next step after baking! We were sent a starter kit which contains everything you need to make the yogurt including two yogurt sachets – these have a minimum of three months shelf life and each make 1kg of yogurt that can last up to two weeks in the fridge! How good is that?

As you may have noticed, the product is called EasiYo and that’s what it is – easy! All you have to do to make the yogurt is mix an EasiYo yogurt sachet with some room temperature water and pop it in the EasiYo Yogurt Maker.

You need to leave it between 8-12 hours (overnight if that works for you!). Once this is completed, you will have made 1kg of thick and creamy yogurt which will last in the fridge for up to two weeks. Make sure to pop it in the fridge straight away!

We took the time to put it all together – opting to start with the coconut flavour first (we received both coconut and strawberry in the starter pack!). It was really simple to do and was done in a matter of minutes.

We then left it overnight and couldn’t wait to come downstairs in the morning and see what it was like!

We opened it up and were a little bemused at first as all the coconut bits were right at the top even after we’d stirred it before leaving it the night before. It didn’t look too appetising like that but after a few quick stirs, the coconut bits were quickly and easily dispersed throughout the yogurt and we could try it properly.

As you can see, the yogurt has been ever so popular – we have barely any left already so it definitely won’t need to be in the fridge two weeks! It tastes absolutely amazing and there’s something so satisfying about knowing we have made it ourselves!

I am very excited to try the strawberry one after we have finished the coconut one – if it is as good as this coconut one, we are in for a treat.

I have been very impressed with the whole process and love that EasiYo contains no artificial ingredients, no gums or thickeners. It is also gluten free and vegetarian and comes in a variety of flavours – do check out the EasiYo website for more information. You can pick up EasiYo at selected Lakeland and The Range stores, online and a number of independent stores.

Have you ever tried making your own yogurt?

  1. I have looked at these before as always fancied trying to make my own, I found this really helpful and informative and made me want one even more now

I used to make my own yoghurt 40 years ago when it was really hard to get plain yoghurt, but haven’t made it myself for ages. The technique I used involved boiling milk, letting it cool to the correct temperature, adding some live yoghurt and leaving it in the airing cupboard overnight to set.

  3. Such a really cool gadget for families! My daughter loves yoghurt but I tend to stay away when following Keto – if we ate more then I would definitely get an Easiyo! Sim x

  4. This sounds like a really useful kitchen gadget, I have to admit I’ve never tried to make my own yoghurt but I bet it is interesting to do and great that it includes no artificial ingredients.

I have often thought of making my own yoghurt, we use such a lot in our family, but it is one of things I have never got round to, but maybe now is a good time to give it a go

  8. I am not a big yoghurt fan but my kids LOVE it. I think they would love to make their own

  9. My whole family loves yoghurt and we tend to eat this alot. We often buy ready made Greek yoghurt but would love to make it from scratch as this is healthier.

  10. I’ve never seen a kitchen gadget like this before. We all love yoghurt in our family and currently being at home we all love cooking more and making things, this sounds something we could all enjoy doing together.

  11. I’ve never tried making my own yoghurt before but it would be great to experiment with different flavours x

  12. The easiyo starters are expensive. Can you just use ordinary startersm
