So what was in the box this month? The theme this month was family sharing & home cooking. Let’s take a look at what we got:
St Lawrence Pure Canadian Maple Syrup – £1 each
Steve is part Canadian and loves his maple syrup so was super happy to find these included. This maple syrup is perfect as a topping or an ingredient and tastes super delicious.
Amy’s Kitchen Organic Vegetable Barley Soup – £1.89
I love a soup and usually love an Amy’s Kitchen soup but I was left a little disappointed by this. It didn’t fill me up as much as soups normally do and tasted quite bland compared to other vegetable soups.
Thatchers Cloudy Lemon – £5.50 for a 4-pack
This was always going to go down a treat in my house – we’ve always got some Thatchers in the house whether it is the Rose, the Hazy, the Cloudy Lemon or the Gold. Steve instantly claimed it and he really enjoyed it.
Lucozade Revive – £1.49
I do love Lucozade products and this is a new product. It is a sparkling and naturally fruity drink which contains plenty of B vitamins to keep you refreshed and help reduce tiredness. This tasted great.
Hartley’s Jelly Pots – 55p for a single pot, £1.65 for 3 pots
Hartley’s Jelly is a firm favourite in our house. These are so handy especially with Jack having packed lunches at the moment and they will go down a treat!
Naked Five Minute Noodles – Japanese Chicken Yakisoba – £1
We have always got a few Naked noodle pots in the cupboard so I was intrigued to see what these were like. They say to cook some meat or meat substitute, some vegetables and then add these noodles with some boiling water. It didn’t fill me up and the noodles didn’t woo me, I’m afraid – unlike the brand usually does.
Whitworths Chocolate Biscuit & Hazelnut Treat Mix – £2
We love Whitworths and always have some in the treat cupboard. Nothing beats grabbing a handful as a snack and these are no different. These are brand new to the range and totally indulgent and delicious. These are suitable for vegetarians too!
Nakd Drizzled Peanut Chocolish Bars Multipack – £3
These have 100% natural ingredients and have no added sugar which is great. Funnily enough the person in the household who adores peanuts didn’t really like these however me and Jack really enjoyed them.
EMILY Veg Thins (Sea Salt and Chipotle BBQ) – 79p each
Crunchy and delicious, these are high in fibre, a source of protein, gluten free and vegan! We’ve tried EMILY products before and always enjoyed them and these were tasty too – a great low calorie treat!
FULFIL Chocolate Hazelnut Whip Bar – £2
This has 9 vitamins to support you through everyday life and tastes SO good. I really enjoyed this.
Peter’s Yard Original Sourdough Crispbread
High in fibre and low in calories, these are tasty and provide the perfect crunch.
Rhythm 108 Sweet N Salty Almond Bar – £1.49
Gluten free, organic, vegan and with 45% less sugar, this is a really tasty snack – great to indulge without any guilt.
McVities’ V.I.Bs – £1.79
Who doesn’t love a McVities biscuit? These always go down a treat in my house and the new VIBs range has three delicious flavours to choose from. These are so good and great for dunking in a cup of tea!
Overall I quite liked this box. There were a few disappointments but ah well, you can’t win them all. This box retails at £12.99 but the contents tally up to over £20 – a great deal if you ask me!
A bit like a lucky bag :- The surprise element of not knowing what will be the contents of the box. Possibly most appropriate for a large family that can financially afford taking that chance/ opportunity of the surprise element. For many we need to know that products will be suitable and acceptable as well as good value for money for our household. Given present day financial circumstances for many :- Every penny needs to be considered, as little to no income for some (unemployment, zero hours contracts, furlough, redundancy, limited income, set income, etc).
Yet, the majority of us may like/ enjoy the element of surprise.
It looks like an interesting way to try new products. I would definitely enjoy most of them and I love maple syrup.
I’ve never seen that box before, there was a really nice variety of things in it. I imagine everything would be gobbled up quickly here with so many different tastes and textures to try.
The Degustabox was always a bit of a hit and miss kind of box for me so I have paused it for now.
I love that this subscription gives you a chance to try lots of different bits at once. The peanut bars from nakd look amazing! x

Those Delgustaboxes look great. Some great products included. I’m particularly liking the maple syrup – so many uses for that.
I use to love my degustabox every month . I stopped it when we moved house but think I might start it up again
I ordered one of these for my sister over lockdown. It had lots of interesting foods. I wish they did an option so you would only get products suitable for vegans. That would be great!
