Degustabox | May 2024

I was sent a Degustabox for the purpose of review. All thoughts and opinions are our own.

Don’t forget you can get your first box here. Here are our thoughts on the May Degustabox.

So what did we think of the box?

Maldon Salt Kalahari Desert Salt – £2.50

Steve often buys Maldon salt so was happy to see this included in the box. He has been using it when cooking to enhance the flavour of meat and it is oh so good!

PhD Nutrition Smart Bar Chocolate Hazelnut – £2.50

These go in Steve’s lunch bag for his long days on the road as a HGV driver. He hasn’t yet tried it but the fact it is palm oil free, low sugar and high protein is a massive bonus!

Mr Porky Crispy Strips – £1.25

Jack is a BIG crackling and scratchings fan so he was so happy to see these. I even tried one and quite enjoyed them despite not being a scratchings fan. They taste like scratchings but are like crispy bacon rinds and Jack will definitely be wanting me to get these again!

Kettle Sweet Chili & Sour Cream – £2.40

Let me tell you, these did not last long after opening the box. We love Kettle products and these tasted fantastic! So delicious!

Swizzels Strawberry & Cream Squashies – £1.15

We are big Swizzels fans in this house and these Squashies are absolutely delicious! We will definitely buy these again!

Kellogg’s Rice Krispies – £3.30

My kids have a love hate relationship with Rice Krispies, sometimes they like them, sometimes they don’t. Either way they will get used because who doesn’t love Rice Krispies cakes? And cereal is always a good addition to the box! These were Product of the Month – Kellogg’s are partnering with professional football clubs up and down across the country to offer 7 to 14 year olds the chance to play in the footsteps of their heroes.

Very Lazy Jerk Paste – £1.99

I’ve mentioned before how we really love the Very Lazy products and we are always happy to see them in a box. This wil be used very quickly! Yummy!

Batchelors Cook With Noodles – £2.25

These are quick and easy to make and perfect for my household as they are a great snack or small dinner if people aren’t too hungry! These won’t last long in my house!

Frobishers Sicilian Lemonade Presse – £1.79

Described as light and zesty, this is absolutely delicious! It is really refreshing and perfect for summer.

Nescafe Azera £6.25

Unfortunately we are not a coffee drinking household but with a nurse for a friend and a HGV overnight driver for a brother in law, this will certainly be put to good use depending on who we give it to! And with coffee so expensive right now, I know they will be appreciative!

Sacla UK Char-Grilled Aubergine and Roasted Garlic Pesto – £3.35

I love pesto and this one is absolutely incredible! I’ve used it in a pasta dish so far but I have got some other ideas of what to use it on because I love it so much!

This box is pretty good value – the coffee is over £6 on its own! At over £20 for the contents, you’re getting a great deal!

  1. What a fab box!
I love those Porky Crispy sticks and the Azera coffee. That was one of the first things I reviewed on my blog. We only get it when it’s on offer. x
