Food & Drink, Reviews

Degustabox | July 2021

I was sent a Degustabox for the purpose of review. All thoughts and opinions are our own.

Don’t forget you can get your first box for just £9.99 including shipping with the code WDGX9 which gets you a £3 discount on the £12.99 price! Buy it here.

The theme of this month’s box is Summer & Grazing. So what did we think?

McCoy’s Fire Pit Peri Peri and Fire Pit Chorizo – 90p each

Inspired by the rustic smoky and chargrilled flavours that come with cooking meat over an open fire, these crisps are absolutely delicious and bursting with flavour. I don’t tend to choose McCoy’s crisps but definitely enjoyed these!

Bull’s Eye Original BBQ Sauce – £2.50

We love the range of sauces from Bull’s Eye and have bought this BBQ sauce time and time again. It is so delicious and we were very happy to see it included in the box.

LOVE Corn Cheese & Onion – 70p a pack

We love the LOVE Corn snacks – read our review here – and this flavour is so delicious and very crunchy too! A snack that we always enjoy. Jack enj0yed having these in his lunch box.

Lindt Nocciolatte Milk Hazelnut and Noccionoir Dark Hazelnut – 85p each

We love Lindt in our house so were very happy to see these in the box. As you can imagine, these were so delicious, creamy and indulgent.

McVitie’s Jaffa Cakes Blackcurrant – £1.20

These are the product of the month and it is easy to see why. A new flavour in the range and an alternative from the traditional orange, we really enjoyed these and they didn’t last long. Perhaps 10 cakes is not quite enough?

Taylors of Harrogate Coffee Bags – £1.50

Steve and I don’t drink coffee so we have passed these on to his brother who loves his coffee!

Smarties Chocolate Sharing Bag – £1

Containing no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives and in their brand new recyclable paper packaging, these are a welcome addition. Smarties are Olivia’s favourite chocolate ever and she was happy to see these. They didn’t last long when opened as we all enjoyed some before popping the packaging in our paper recycling.

Pot Pasta Bolognese and Tomatoey Mozzarella – £1.19

These are a great lunch option and brought to you by those behind Pot Noodle. They take just a few minutes and they taste so great! A really handy quick and easy lunch.

Three Fold Hard Seltzer Citrus – £2

Made from natural fruit flavours, sparkling water and 4% alcohol, this is quite refreshing. I didn’t drink it myself but passed onto a friend who enjoyed the flavour and said it was refreshing and quenched their thirst.

Firefly Botanical Drinks – £1.55

I’m not usually a fan of botanical drinks so I have popped this to one side to give to a friend who enjoys them.

St Pierre Brioche Hot Dog Rolls – £1.40

These taste so good! We have tried the St Pierre brioche products multiple times and always like them. These are great for hot dogs on the BBQ and also for lunches.

Fox’s Glacier Summer Punch, Little Lifts and After Darks – £1 each

These are such tasty sweets from a prestigious brand. They are incredibly indulgent and the flavours are designed to replicate a British summer! We really liked all of these.

Overall, this was a fantastic box. Both Steve and I were very impressed and the kids loved a lot of the contents too. The contents average at over £20 which makes this a great deal, considering the price you pay.

Which product would be your favourite?
