Chill Out In 15 Minutes Or Less

Collaborative Post

Life is fast, and not everyone has hours to ground themselves and feel chilled out again. So if you have 15 minutes, then here are a few things that can help you.

Jump

This one will likely only work if you are at home, but have you ever noticed that you sometimes have some pent-up energy when you feel stressed, anxious or worried? Jump around for a few minutes. At first, your focus will be on jumping; then, it will be on catching your breath.

After that, you will not have that nervous energy anymore, and you can carry on with your day.

Music

Most humans love to listen to music. There is music to calm you, music to dance to, music that gets you hyped up for a day. Pick a few tracks that help you so calm down. In the last few years, binaural beats and music have become more popular, some of them can help you to concentrate, and others can help you chill out.

Create a playlist in your favourite streaming service of songs that you know help you chill out.

Take a Timeout In Your Backyard

Relaxing in your backyard for just 15 minutes every day can do wonders for your overall health and well-being. Research has shown that spending time in nature can help to reduce stress, improve moods, and boost cognitive function. And what better way to enjoy nature than in your backyard? Whether you choose to read a book, listen to music, or enjoy the fresh air, taking the time to unwind in your backyard is an essential part of self-care. Be sure you have the most comfortable patio set to sit on with outdoor furniture online. So go ahead and give yourself permission to relax – your mind and body will thank you for it.

Water

If you need a break, have the caffeine jitters and have to focus on something – get a glass of cold water. Cold water is also recommended for people who might be experiencing an anxiety attack.

The coolness of the water is a new sensation to focus on; often, when we feel anxious or stressed out, our temperature rises and makes us feel even more uncomfortable.

If you don’t want to drink old water, then rinse a cloth under the cold tap, wring it out and place it at the bottom of your neck for a moment.

Sweet treat

CBD gummies from https://www.cbdoilking.co.uk/shop/cbd-gummies and hard-boiled sweets can help you to concentrate on something else for a moment. With gum and hard-boiled sweets, the effects usually wear off after a few minutes. However, with CBD, after the sweet bump and chewy sensation, the CBD will start to kick in.

Chewing gum, sucking on sweeties or eating gummies has been shown to reduce cortisol levels in the body.

Walk away

When something is really having an impact on you, you should and could walk away. In a work meeting, that isn’t always possible, but you don’t need to force yourself to stay in many other situations.

Walking away from your emails, people, a call, or other projects is a good way to protect yourself.

Often in a world that is so plugged in, we live, communicate and seek entertainment from mobile devices and laptops. Put it down and walk away.

Stretch

Our bodies hold a lot of tension – and that tension can feel like tight muscles, aching joints, tight jaws, and even toothache! Take 15 minutes and have a good stretch. Reach up to the sky, stretch down to touch your toes, stretch out your sides.

Your body will thank you for not being so tight and achy, and when you are more comfortable, you are going to be more relaxed – naturally!
