British Corner Shop | Perfect For British Expats

Both Steve’s brother and sister live abroad in Tenerife and often talk about missing certain things that you can only get in Britain. I can’t imagine being abroad and not being able to purchase my favourite foods so I was intrigued by the concept of British Corner Shop. When we were in Italy, we could barely find anything British and whilst I adore the Italian cuisine, sometimes you just want something a little familiar.

I was recently sent a box of British Corner Shop goodies to see how the whole process works and I’m definitely going to be showing this to my in laws – I can see it being very popular. The company deliver anywhere in the world and have a range of 10,000 products. They even have a range of chilled products that they deliver to select European countries too – perfect if you were starting to worry that your favourite chilled item wouldn’t be included! Delivering over 4 million products to 138 countries worldwide last year proves that Brits really do miss their home comforts. So what British goodies did I receive?

I instantly recognised some prestigious British brands. We received some Heinz items – baked beans in tomato sauce (95p) and a tin of baked beans and sausages (£1.69). We also received a jar of Marmite Large (£5.99), a Walkers Salt and Vinegar Crisps 6 Pack (£2.49) and a 3 pack of Cadbury’s Crunchie bars at £2.99 for the pack.

Other items included a pack of McVitie’s Rich Tea biscuits for £1.99, some Walkers Shortbread Fingers for £1.89, some Crawfords Bourbon Creams for £1.09 and for a really sweet tooth, a packet of Swizzels Matlow Love Hearts for 49p. Finally we received a bottle of Ribena Really Light Blackcurrant for £1.59 to quench our thirst.

I definitely think that the British Corner Shop couldn’t have picked a better selection of brands to showcase what they have to offer. These brands are all instantly recognisable and I’m happy to know they are available on the British Corner Shop website should I ever require them.

Should you wish to make an order yourself, I have a discount code for orders over £75 – get £15 off your first order with FUTURES15 – the code is valid for 6 months!

Orders are delivered to most European destinations within 4 to 8 working days. Deliveries to non-European Countries take between 7 to 12 working days, depending on how long Customs take to clear your goods. (Note UK weekends and Bank holidays are classed as non-working days). Shipping information for countries is available here with prices. You can even earn reward points on your orders if you register with them.

Would you ever consider ordering from the British Corner Shop?

  1. It sounds like they do a good selection of goodies. A friend in New Zealand insists that anyone coming to visit her must bring a suitcase full of Cadburys chocolate.

    1. They do! I was amazed at just how much as I’ve seen companies like this before but they always have such a small selection. To be able to find so many British brands available for people overseas is incredible.

I don’t blame your friend, I would too!

  5. Interesting – from another angle. If they could increase their range and speed up delivery times this company could make holidaying abroad a reality for us! My children have a lot of allergies and we cannot guarantee we can feed them abroad – so don’t bother.
