When I heard about Boomf, I must admit I did a double take. Instagram pictures on marshmallows aren’t something you hear or read about every day and I was intrigued as to how this would work, so of course I said yes when asked if I wanted to try some.
Costing £12 for a box of 9 marshmallows, all customers need to do is log in to their Instagram, choose 9 images and order them. Boomf also offer free shipping and they arrive at your home within a matter of days.
I decided to get Boomf themselves to choose some Instagram pictures and I loved the pictures they chose – some of Jack, some of me and Jack and some random things.
After inspecting the marshmallows and marvelling at the fact our faces were on these tiny cubes of sugary goodness, all that was left to do was the taste test. Myself, Jack, Steve and my friend Michelle tested them and the only person who wasn’t too sure on them was Steve. He is, however, not such a big fan of marshmallows so I think we can count his opinion out on these!
These were really lovely – just the right amount of sweetness and fluffiness that a marshmallow should have. Jack particularly enjoyed staring at his face and then gobbling it all up – he thought it was a hoot! Since the taste test, my friend Michelle has already talked about grabbing some boxes as Christmas presents as these are perfect for that one person who you are struggling to buy for.
All in all, this a fantastic and unique concept and I wish Boomf well…they certainly seem to be taking off!
