My Review
The beginning of the book starts with Kathleen telling her friend Beth that she’s being threatened by someone in their inner circle, how she’s frightened but she isn’t going to let this person win. She refuses to give Beth any more information at that time but the next morning arranges to meet Beth at yoga the next day. Shortly after she sends that text, she is found at the bottom of a cliff.
Was it an accident? Was it suicide? Was it foul play?
The close circle of friends starts to fall apart as Beth challenges them on what Kathleen has told her. Secrets come bursting out and each friend shows a side to them that Beth has never seen before. Was Kathleen murdered – and if so, why would one of her close friends do so?
I had my suspicions throughout but did not guess the ending although it does make sense. The fast pace slowed down a little midway through but it soon picked up towards the end.
About The Author
Mary Grand is the author of five novels and writes gripping, page-turning suspense, with a dark and often murderous underside. She grew up in Wales, was for many years a teacher of deaf children and now lives on the Isle of Wight where her new novel,
The House Party, which will be published by Boldwood in July 2020, is set.

This sounds right up my street. I’ve always been a romance reader but recently picked up thrillers and have LOVED them.

After the second baby my head is just getting back into the zone of reading again so I have been ploughing through. I quite fancy myself as a sleuth, I watch a lot of detective shows, so I will give this a go and see when and if I work it out.
