Blog Every Day In May: Spring Is Here

I love Spring. Not just for the fact that this little beauty rears its head when Spring finally gets into full swing but everything that it means and that it stands for. Spring means Summer is right around the corner, Spring means that I can finally take Jack out to the park properly without it raining or being bitterly cold.

It means lots of yummy vegetables, yummy fruit and lots of tasty but healthy meals – do you find you tend to lose your motivation for healthy eating during the colder months? I also find people seem much happier in themselves during the warmer months, what do you think?

I’m looking forward to being able to take Jack for a walk through our local woods, seeing all the lovely flowers and wildlife around – something that is harder to do in the winter! Of course, Spring also means that sitting in the garden with an ice cold fruit cider isn’t such a bad idea after all…

What do you like most about Spring?

  1. I think you're right… I always feel more compelled to eat salad when it gets warmer! See you for more BEDM tomorrow!

    1. I still haven't had a salad though! Oops x

I definitely lose my motivation to eat healthy in the colder months! Time for me to break out the healthy fruits and veg I think.

  3. I definitely eat better in summer, but I quite like the excuse of winter to eat lots of custard and warming stews (not together!)

  4. I'm exactly the same about healthy foods! Spring and summer mean salads and greens! Though, they also mean ice cream and BBQs. Oops! 🙂 x

Yes I try to blog 4-5 days a week and generally pretty much stick to this.

  6. Oh yes! In warmer weather I just naturally eat healthier, now that I am heading into winter I have promised myself to continue to eat healthy and nutritionally even when it is cold and rainy. Difficult but important.

Yes! Any motivation for healthy living goes out the window during Winter! Springtime just makes me want to have salads and pasta dishes though! Xo
