Wedding

Wedding Planning Wednesday | 009

Last Tuesday, before my WPW post on wedding etiquette and what you apparently should do when it comes to weddings, I was suffering with a little bit of writers block – I just did not know what to write about when it came to weddings! Of course, I knew that there was so much that I was yet to cover but could I think of any of it? Nope, nada, zilch. The lovely Zoe stepped forward with last weeks topic and here I am with Charlotte’s choice of topic.

If I’m being perfectly honest, I hadn’t given much thought to my colour schemes before Charlotte suggested the topic. I did know that I wanted muted, understated colours like the ones above, perhaps pastels and I definitely did not want it to be all white! I also didn’t want it to be really in your face as I know that it’s something I would regret later in life when looking at my wedding photos.

I haven’t really discussed colour schemes with Steve so far but I know that he is generally of the view that if I like the idea, then I should run with it. I picked out 5 colours above that I really do like and that I would be more than happy with when it comes to my wedding. I’ll probably mix a few of these together – what colours would you pick?

Are you more introverted or extroverted when it comes to these kind of things?

  1. I have blush pink, ivory, taupe/mocha and burgundy. The burgundy is 90% certain for bridesmaids dresses at the moment and is definitely in the flowers but its not EVERYWHERE.

To me, pastels are spring colours and for November it HAD to be burgundy!

I love all the blush, taupe, sage and mint dresses that are around at the moment! if we'd decided on a spring wedding it would definitely have been blush and sage colour scheme!

I think colour schemes would depend on the season you choose to have your wedding, but I love the colours you've picked. You've described my ideal; colourful, but not garish! Xo

    1. Thanks, yeah I don't want garish there haha x

  3. I love pink so I will have to have pink in there somewhere, or maybe coral I did also think mint green too or more of a spring green but not sure, I like fuchsia pink and a spring green together but not really sure, but I know pink will probably feature 🙂 great post as always, lots of love, Zoe xxx
