When Bionsen sent out a tweet last month asking if anyone wanted to try their paraben and aluminium free deodorants, I voiced my interest. Working in retail can sometimes be a very busy job and coming home from work to take care of a child who is now running around wrecking the place means keeping clean and fresh is of the utmost importance.
This time of year is always quite busy at work – we go straight from Christmas into January sales, stock take, Valentines Day and this weekend – Mothers Day! Working in a greetings card shop means I don’t really get any remittance and need to make sure I am protected all day.
I normally use Dove roll ons, so I was pleased to see a roll on included in my package. Claiming to be great for sensitive skin and containing vital spa minerals to keep skin glowing, I was eager to try out both items.
The pump spray is a great alternative to an aerosol, I’m not a huge fan of aerosols even though I have a few stored away ready for when needed. However, roll on’s have always been my deodorant application of choice and when it comes to these two products, my opinions didn’t change.
Whilst both worked, I found the roll on to be much more effective, lasting me throughout a whole shift at work, even when running around like a headless chicken! The pump spray did work but the lasting power was not as great as the roll on, leaving me feel a little unprotected at times.
The scent is fresh and inoffensive and much better than some deodorants I have stored away ready for use. I cannot comment on how it is with sensitive skin, as I do not have sensitive skin myself although Michaela tells more here.
At the end of the day, these deodorants do work, perhaps not having as much lasting power as you may want but of course that is all down to the individual. I especially loved the roll on deodorant and have even scoped it out in Boots ready to repurchase when needs must.
