Belif Skincare range -

I was recently given the opportunity to trial some lovely products from Belif (all products and prices found on the Napiers Herbalists site).. I was sent a variety of their products and have been testing them out for the past few weeks and now feel ready to give my thoughts.

I was sent the Hungarian Water Essence, The Balm Almighty, The True Cream – Moisturizing Bomb, The True Anti-Aging Essence, Sugar Coat lip balm and the True Cream – Aqua Bomb. All of these came in some cute little packaging which garnered many a comment from friends and family alike – it is so pretty!

I received two balms: The Balm Almighty which is a multi purpose balm that aims to deliver moisture to areas that need it most. I love multi purpose balms and this was no exception – it felt silky smooth when applied to the skin and really felt as if it was doing something. I was also sent the Sugar Coat lip balm which is designed to seal moisture in and protect the lips. I have mentioned before how I have a dislike to greasy feeling lip balms and unfortunately, this was a tad too sticky for me – almost like a gloss. I prefer my lip balms to feel smoother and less sticky so would not purchase this again.

The Hungarian Water Essence is the product that intrigued me the most. Applied like a spritz of water, it is meant to prolong suppleness and smoothness. It claims to contain secrets of the legendary Hungarian water that kept Hungarian Queen Elizabeth beautiful even in old age. This is much more affordable than the Omorovicza alternative and although I can’t claim to have seen many benefits from it, I did enjoy spritzing it and would perhaps repurchase on a whim.

The true anti-aging essence is supposed to keep anti-aging at bay. At 23, I am not too fussy about using anti-aging products just yet but this does feel incredibly lovely on the skin – soft and moisturised.

These two pots are the True Cream Moisturising Bomb and the True Cream Aqua Bomb. I have used each of these for a couple of weeks each as they are both face creams/moisturisers to see which faired better.

The moisturising cream contains Poke Root and lasts for up to 26 hours. I found my skin to feel hydrated and soft for quite some time but I couldn’t say how long, definitely not 26 hours. It smells incredible and is quite thick which I always prefer in a face cream – feels like more of a treat.

The aqua cream contains less ingredients and is less cream like, more of a gel consistency. The product is nowhere as thick as its moisturising counterpart although this doesn’t mean that you feel as if it is doing less of a job. I actually prefer the aqua cream because even though I prefer thicker creams, the gel consistency was something different for me and something that actually worked. My skin felt super hydrated even through the next day and left me feeling confident enough to go sans makeup :O

Would I recommend Belif Skincare? I certainly would. Whilst some products really stood out to me and I didn’t like others so much, skincare is very subjective and I cannot tell you how you would fare with these products – better to try them for yourselves.

I was also sent a range of sample sachets to try out – I haven’t got round to these yet but will definitely be letting you know my thoughts when I do.
