Masks are not something I use very often. I have no idea why, I just don’t think to use them the majority of the time. Don’t get me wrong, I do use them – just not as often as I know other people do. How often should I do them, do you think? Since I rarely talk about masks on the blog, I thought it would be a good idea to review this one – the Amie Skincare Clean Cooling Clay Mask which retails here for a cool £1.50 for 3 sachets.
This was another product in the July London meetup goody bag and one I was very interested to see. Who could have missed the huge surge they had in blog posts over the last few months as everyone clamoured to try their products?
I took the opportunity for some downtime between writing a number of articles for my job as a freelance writer – I am only just setting up and am extremely lucky that someone has given me a chance as a relative newbie – however this leaves me little time around work, childcare and blogging to actually relax.
To use this mask, you smooth a thin layer over your face avoiding the delicate eye area and leave to dry for approximately 10-15 minutes. When the mask is dry, you simply need to splash your face with water and wipe off with a towel leaving you with a healthy and glowing complexion.
Containing such ingredients as French White Clay, natural zinc oxide, lime butter and organic peppermint, you can certainly smell the lime and peppermint within the mask. So far, so good as I adore these scents. Designed as a deep cleansing treatment, I applied the product and left it on for the allotted amount of time.

It's a shame this didn't work for you – I've been disappointed by the majority of hyped products I've tried, but I've not tried this so can't comment! x

I found it quite nice (and cooling) actually because I think it's meant for oily/combination skin prone to break outs. It's actually quite difficult reviewing masks in my opinion because you rarely see an immediate effect. Haha, I mainly use masks hoping that my skin will be better in the long term. 😛

Oh no, I know what you mean – I didn't see any effects in the long term either. What I was saying in the post was that all these positive reviews talk about how amazing their skin was not long after removal and I didn't see that myself.
