Skincare | OST Original Pure Vitamin C20 Serum

OST ORIGINAL PURE VITAMIN C20 SERUM – $24.99*
I received this product as part of my Fortune Box from Wishtrend way back at the end of January but it has only taken me until now to write about it for various reasons. If you look back through my previous posts about Wishtrend, you will see that nothing has ever got below 3 stars from me. Until now.
It all started out really promising – when I posted about my Fortune Box, I was really looking forward to trying this product out! It smelled absolutely delicious and I was excited to see what it could do for me! I’d seen plenty of rave reviews about it and some of the other girls from the panel really love it.
Vitamin C’s benefits include healing wounds and helping to protect the skin. Results after using Vitamin C don’t tend to be seen until after 21 days, perhaps even longer but unfortunately I didn’t even wait that long. Within seconds of applying the serum to my face, I felt as if my face was on fire and removed it immediately. I had a horrendous breakout and couldn’t bring myself to try it again until this past week, just to be sure it was the product and not me.
I don’t really have sensitive skin so to react to a product is unusual for me. However, I can safely say that this product is not for me which is truly a shame. It seems the Wishtrend panel is evenly split on this one – some of us suffered breakouts, others saw amazing results! Just goes to show that skincare truly is subjective! LaaLaa posted about her thoughts on the same product here.
I do have a rave review coming up this week on another product Wishtrend sent me to try out – do look out for that!
How do you incorporate Vitamin C into your skincare routine?

  1. I think you're right, skin care is so different from one person to another, and even different for one person depending on current situations. I know my skin is dry in the winter and normal in the summer and it has to be treated entirely differently during each of those seasons.

I'm here today from Let's Get Social Sunday.

    1. Thanks for your comment! Yes, skin is so different from 1 to another. Wish this had worked for me 🙁

  2. It's kind of scary how differently some people react to products! Sudocrem is my horror product.
Such a shame you didn't get on with it as it sounds like other people have had great results from it!

    Jesss xo

    1. Aww, my skin loves Sudocrem! I know, really loved the smell of it too!x
