When it comes to Buddy, I will admit he is a little spoilt. He gets only the best in all aspects of his life and has already cost us a pretty penny since he bounded into our lives. As a Dalmatian, he is a little different to other dogs because he cannot have purines – his body cannot digest them. This means we do have to be a little more careful about the foods we give him – this includes treats.
We have recently been testing out some Rattlesnaps. These are a brand-new dental treat on the market and have an innovative new design. The dental treats use real fruit and vegetables combined with a chicken treat centre. They have an innovative design, and each segment has a tasty, dried chicken treat. The fab thing about them is that when the treats are shaken, the rattling sound can be utilised to attract the dog’s attention.
They are great for training – something we have really been trying to work on with Buddy. He is quite a good boy but is easily distracted and will ignore us if something else has caught his attention. We love that you can easily snap off individual balls to help with training too!
These are so much different from other treats as they are perfect for households with multiple dogs and are also suitable for dogs of all different shapes and sizes. They are low in calories, so you do not need to worry that you are giving your dog a calorific treat and they are packed full of nutrients.
As we live in a one dog household, Buddy has the monopoly on these. Steve’s parents recently got a dog too, so we are going to take a pack to them for him to try and see what he thinks too! We let Buddy have one whole dental treat every other day and, in the days, he isn’t having one, we occasionally snap off individual balls for training. He has really been enjoying them and is always excited at the prospect of having another one!
Packed full of vitamins, antioxidants, and fibre (plus the dried chicken chunks are a great source of protein), these are a treat we are happy for Buddy to have and which he really enjoys. We will certainly be picking up more and think this is such a brilliant concept – it has such an innovative design, and they are wonderful for training too.

Oh wow these look so cool! I admit I initially thought it looked like a kong and the green bit was plastic, but now I see that it’s the casing! Very fun!
