4 Things To Do After You’re Engaged

Collaborative Post

Oh, weddings! There is nothing more lovely than watching a blushing bride glide down the aisle toward the man of her dreams. Guests are treated to a living love story being played out, and now it’s your turn – you’re the engaged party and you have that sparkly ring on your finger. It’s an exciting moment to know that you have a whole wedding to prepare in front to you, but there are a few things that you should be doing after the initial engagement excitement.

You are a bride now, which means that you need to make sure that you are set up for a successful wedding. The day should go without a hitch, and that means being organized from the get-go. So, what should you be doing to get moving once you are engaged?

  1. Start Spreading The News! In the famed words of Frank Sinatra, it’s time to spread the news. Get on the phone and start updating social media. You’re engaged, and your family and friends are going to want to know about it. You want to share the news to all and sundry no matter who they are! Once your inner circle and both sets of parents are up to date on the news, you can then spread it on social media. Your engagement post can be done with words, or you can book a gorgeous engagement shoot and have photographs tell the world about your love!
  2. Planning Commences. After an engagement, the best thing to do is work out how you want to do this. Some engaged couples do not want any interference from anyone else, where others want the best wedding planners around to help. Wedding planners can make a huge difference to your stress levels on the day, and they can make life easier for you in the whole planning process.
  3. Get Insured. Your wedding doesn’t have to be planned for you to get the appropriate insurance. You should consider that your insurance can cover your wedding planner and your engagement ring, too. Insurance is a big issue especially during a pandemic! You can insure your payments and get deposits back if necessary.
  4. Get A Manicure. You’re newly engaged, which means everyone and anyone is going to be asking to see your hand so that they can admire the ring.  A manicure is going to set off the sparkling jewellery beautifully, and everyone will be admiring your new nails as much as they admire the ring! An engagement ring is so much more than just an accessory, but that doesn’t mean that you cannot make it pop!
  5. Just Enjoy Yourself! You’re engaged! This is an exciting time of life and it’s a time of great love – all the attention will be on you both, and even if you’re not big on attention, it’s going to be all about you. Celebrate your engagement with a trip away together, and bask in the love and light people are going to shine down on you.
