Zimpli Kids Range | Review

We were sent a selection of Zimpli Kids items for the purpose of review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

If you haven’t heard of Zimpli Kids, where have you been? They provide a fantastic of range of products for kids that they absolutely adore!

Who Are Zimpli Kids?

Zimpli Kids design, manufacture, market and supply some of the most unique and innovative children’s toy products on the market. As a young vibrant company, they are always striving to create fun new products that will safely enhance both children’s and parent’s experiences of bath time & sensory play time.

Their most popular products Gelli Baff and Slime Baff have clocked up over 8 BILLION views on YouTube from independent reviewers worldwide and this viral success has translated into international brand awareness, outstanding sell through at retail and has secured distribution in over 50 countries across the globe. In early 2017, Europe’s largest toy distributor, Simba Toys, became a major shareholder of Zimpli Kids.

What Did We Think?

Gelli Baff

The first thing the kids tried was the Gelli Baff. The process of turning your water into the Gelli Baff seems pretty simple and we tried it exactly like it said on the instructions – by putting a certain amount of water in the bat, adding the Gelli Baff powder to it and waiting for it to thicken up for 10-15 minutes. We did have to wait a little longer for ours to thicken up however.

The Gelli Baff is a way to make bath time super fun and it is easy to get rid of it when you’re done by simply adding the second powder which works as a dissolver and turns the ‘gelli’ back into coloured water that can be drained away. You can get a variety of colours and we had the blue.

As I mentioned above, you need to wait 10-15 minutes for it to thicken up into the product after sprinkling the powder in – although ours took a little longer. It makes the water such a bright and vibrant colour! You need to mix it regularly to ensure it is thickening up properly.

The kids really enjoyed bathtime with their first Zimpli Kids product and couldn’t wait to try the next one…

Gelli Slime Baff

Olivia got to pick the next one and of course she went for this – just look at the colour!

Again this is super vibrant in colour and requires pretty much the same preparation as the other bath products. The disposal is not quite the same though as for this you simply need to run water to let it dissolve to go down the drain. Once more this took a little longer than the suggested time to thicken up but not much longer.

The kids had so much fun mixing it to get it to the required consistency and couldn’t wait to get in. The problem was getting them out at the end – they were having so much fun playing with the slime and tormenting each other with it! They loved the feel of it and found it great to play with.

Definitely something we will be getting again!

Slime Baff

Just like the other bath products, this was pretty simple to set up and took around the suggested amount of time to set up. The kids loved the slimy consistency and couldn’t be persuaded to get out of the bath at all! Lots of fun was had with this.

Gelli Play

Zimpli Kids don’t just offer products for bath time, oh no! You can play with slime and gelli products outside of the bath too! Olivia had great fun playing with this by herself one afternoon when Jack was at school and loved squishing it between her fingers and splashing it around the container she was using.

Sometimes it can be hard to think of things to keep her busy once she gets home from school before we pick Jack up but this provided a welcome distraction.

Gelli Worlds Fantasy Pack

Finally the one Olivia was most excited for!

The pack comes with a few different bags of the mixture, an instruction booklet, a tray that you will need to inflate yourself and some figures to use during playing.

The process of getting it ready is so super simple – just add a certain amount of water to the tray before adding the mix. I was amazed at just how quickly and how well this thickened up and so were the kids – excited because it meant they could play quicker!

The kids had so much fun playing with the included figures in the gelli and would have spent all day playing! It was of perfect consistency and provided the perfect place for the kids to play.

Disposal of the mix is pretty easy too – all you need to do is remove the figures (wash them off in the sink) then pour the mix down the toilet and flush away. I then used the shower to clean off the tray, ready for use again another day.

Overall we were very impressed with the Zimpli products. They provided hours of fun for the kids, helped them with their imaginative play and they are irritant free and stain free which is exactly what you want from products such as these. I would definitely pick some more of their products up in the future.
